So let me get this straight...
Other people are having problems so you are threatening to quit the game in sympathy with them.
Is that right?
I, scratch a door mouse's ears, have not experienced any significant killer bugs in game to date and hope that it remains so. I may be just one of the lucky few, gauging by these forums but, I'm having a really great experience and finding the game improving in stability as time passes. It's only been 1 week since launch.
I think this game is brilliant compared to any other MMORPG I have played. Harkens back to the pre-expansion WoW days in the first 6 months post launch, except ESO is far better in my opinion. It's like ZeniMax and Bethesda got together and decided to make an MMORPG the way an MMORPG was meant to be and they know it and express it through the many subtleties during gameplay.
In my opinion they can give the flying bird pole to all other MMORPG's and I will have no regrets or issues subscribing to this game. Praise Akatosh.
You clearly have never played pre-expansion WoW, and this game is nothing like most MMORPG's. It is riddled with bugs and the auction house is non existent and trading is done through guilds which are capped at 500 players, there's no raid dungeons at launch for gear, and as of launch the best in game gear is crafted gear.
DO NOT even mention this game in light of pre-expansion WoW...that was revolutionary, this game is a joke so far, but it is rather fun being one of the chosen few who have yet to have any real bugs at all.

Well, you can actually log in and play, so, yes, you're right, it IS nothing like WoW was at launch. Also, way less buggy, you sure you're not confusing one of the WoW expansion launches for the original release ten years ago?

"I keep seeing threads posted about people permanently loosing their hard earned items in their bank...not to mention people being auto banned for sending in game mail to their guild, and people banned for giving their friends gold to buy things....this is inexcusable and if this continues this game will die quickly."
"Riddle me this...what is the point of playing and paying for a game where you randomly lose all your things, and/or, are perma banned for no reason?"
If those are the best you can come up with, this game is terrible.
It's not WoW. Get over it.
I personally like it WAY better than WoW, and I played pre-expansion.
I have not had any significant glitches, bugs, boots, rollbacks etc etc etc. I can sympathize with those who are having trouble, but I believe them to be a very vocal minority.
The sky is NOT falling. This game will succeed.
Give them a few more weeks to fix and balance...it is an ongoing process.
Funny, I thought the most common complaint with a new MMO was that it didn't do anything new, and was just more of the same. Now that's a bad thing?Midgardian wrote: »"You clearly have never played pre-expansion WoW, and this game is nothing like most MMORPG's. If those are the worst you can come up with, this game is amazing.

I truly hope it happens to you. I really, really have never wanted anything more in my entire life at this moment.
Tweek, actually I played in the WoW Beta and bought the collectors edition and played it a lot through the first year. I'll agree with you that pre-expansion WoW was very fun in it's day and I have many fond memories of it. This game is at least duplicating that feeling for me if not surpassing my expectations, and the further I progress into the game the more I realize that indeed yes this game does contain a significant Elder Scrolls flair to it.
While an auction house could introduce a certain convenience I don't mind interacting directly with crafters and sellers. I have not tried using Guild Trade yet. I seriously hope that they continue to make crafting an integral part of acquiring the best gear as I woe the day they follow the dark trodden path down toward end-game grinding dungeons. Frankly,100 dungeon runs for a token of 6 to get some marginally better head gear is my very definition of a nightmare.
I sincerely hope, Tweek, that any issues you are experiencing, resolve so that you too may divine in the light that I have fore witnessed as I have in the past with other games in this series being that it is never as obvious on the surface as it truly is in it's underlying complexity.
Praise Akatosh.

Yes, that's constructive. "I hope bugs only affecting a small minority affect more people!" Brilliant.
And if it did, I'd put in a ticket, and enjoy the game.
I don't even use the bank very much. I don't find hording a bunch of items all that useful.

How can you enjoy the game if a bot auto bans you?
Customer support won't even respond for days?

People being auto banned for sending mail to their own guild isn't something that should need to be fixed. It never should never have been implemented in the first place.
Yeah, no, I have a hard time believing anyone who would resort to "fixed that for ya" is old enough to have been playing games in 2004.Midgardian wrote: »"You clearly have never played pre-expansion WoW, and this game is nothing like most MMORPG's. A bot hasn't auto banned me, which again points to the "small minority" of players. I'm enjoying a game where a bot hasn't autobanned me.
I do have sympathy for those that have been banned, but it's something they'll work on, and we will all move on from there. A week if wrongly banned accounts isn't a fundamental flaw with a game that requires it's quick death.

se, enlighten me how MMOs "usually work" (a sentence which I have no idea why you said. But seeing as I've played MMOs for nearly 10 years, I'm not sure you could enlighten me).
I will and am having fun. Have fun freaking out when an amusement park ride breaks down for a few days because other people can't enjoy their favorite ride momentarily.
