Would I get banned for giving gold to my brother?

Hey guys, I bought the Imperial Edition so I get a Horse, My brother just bought his copy of ESO and its just normal edition and He wanted a horse, I have 25k on my account and I think a horse cost 17k(?) So if I trade my brother my gold, I assume im gonna be "permanently suspended" by a SCRIPT...

There are cases currently around where such a transfer has caused the sending player to be banned, so yes there's a BIG risk it seems to me right now with Zenimax's draconian anti-RMT detectors.

the thing is, I dont mind getting suspended and then get it fixed, the problem is , I will be waiting weeks for support to respond...

Yup, so what You want to do is have your brother put something up on a guild merchant account for 17k,you buy it, and he fills in the rest with taxes.

NOTE: I dont know if this will work or not. I dont think Zenimax will ever tell anyone what is okay, so be scared doing anything in the game that they have so incompetently administrated.

Have we had it confirmed by ZOS that people were wrongfully banned however?
For all we know all these banned posts could be people who were buying gold and are now disgruntled for facing actions or just people looking to cause harm to ZOS name.

There never should be worry or issue giving gold to your friends or family if you have rightfully earned that gold. I'm pretty sure ZOS will be doing some level of research into the money transfers on accounts before they just outright ban someone.

Don't know if they are monitoring only mails so you could just trade the money. Or then use the guild bank to transfer it. One choice is to mail/transfer it in smaller patches.

What I am talking about though is everyone screaming about if they send gold they might be banned because some threads claimed that happened.
However there is no proof hose claims are from players who were wrongly banned, they could have been people buying/selling gold or exploiting for other reasons.

You're right, there's no proof, no one has to believe it but many of us do, both the one I linked to and several others.

I think the thing is to better safe than sorry. Would suck a lot if legit person puts money on his bro and suddenly is banned for week because it takes so much time to resolve the banning issue.

THis issue started this week, Monday I believe... it is their anti-gold spam attempt.

I would say its a bot who do the auto-suspend. Dont make the same mistake i did. Better send it in 2 mails (both under 10k) - this maybe safe you from suspend.

I still waiting for the support to un-suspend my account. I know others who get allrdy unsuspend (watch the forum) but it takes a while it seems, because they are rushed over with tickets because of all those bugs and problems. Really a bad start from ZOS with this game and support.

i think so yes. maybe also higher amount. But i cant really say.
I guess after those many auto-bans they maybe changed allrdy something. Because there are allrdy a lot of people who got over 100k

TBH I don't think Zenimax are that naive as to create an auto detect for gold transfers and have them banned. I think there will of been independent investigations into each gold transfer, no doubt it will get flagged but i think it will be an admin who decides.

@Socratic‌ I Dont know dude... with support they're pretty understaffed, I wouldn't be surprised if they're understaffed with "Investigators" aswell.
