Maintenance for the week of January 20:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – January 20
• NA megaservers for maintenance – January 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EST (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – January 22, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 14:00 UTC (9:00AM EST)

So nothing got fixed today?

I take it the lack of patch notes isn't sadly due to someone forgetting to post them.

Really, nothing in the massive list of bugs, both critical and trivial, got fixed?

Really?

Zenimax is hopeless, give up hope and come back maybe next week to advance in main quest for one step because the next one will be bugged to oblivion.

These maintenances are done to improve overall performance of the game. We'll let everyone know as soon as we have an update.

Want the game to be lag free and run smooth....this is why it was brought down. Just because there is no fixes, it doesnt mean the maintenance is useless. They will also bring the servers down to perform the following:

During these times, we'll deploy patches, server optimizations, database updates, hardware upgrades, and perform other routines that keep ESO running smoothly.
To make no mistakes is not in the power of man; but from their errors and mistakes the wise and good learn wisdom for the future.

Now you are preventing players from logging into their accounts I am sure the game will run much more smoothly.

So hopefully those players that are affected in Coldharbor have sent an ingame bug report? No point whining about a bug that it is apparently gamebreaking if no one has reported it - how else do you expect devs to identify the root cause and implement a fix?

Due to the wide range of timezones you cannot pick a time that no one will be affected by scheduled maintenance. They have selected 5am BST time slot that suits the vast majority of users....this is much better then bringing the servers down in the afternoon

Oh I bet most if not all of those players have reported the bug, most probably contacted support (even though we know about the response being totally *** useless).

On another matter, since TESO is just un-playable (to a point) for us, so here is a new game, "trash Zenimax on forums and reddit." So far the player base isn't that large but least there are no bugs to prevent progression.

Right now there are a lot of problems with the game, not just in-game. Zeni is sitting in a lot of ***, and will need time to get everything sorted out. I'd say, if there is nothing fixed by the end of the "free" month, then it's time to worry. AT this point though, what we need is patience and see what the company will do/focus on. This will let us figure out how the things will look like down the road. On the other hand, it's released and it just now starts to feel like a real early beta :/

Did you have an issue and you checked if it was fixed?
  • thefreezingvoid
If you want to be technical, within the past 24 hours, the ground keeper bug was fixed for a fast majority of people, at least on the US servers. However its short lived, as the next quest to close the portals bugs out for most shards. Hopefully that doesn't take another 6 days to resolve.
  • suehlfleisch.jb16_ESO
all bugs that were there bevor the server reboot are there after... without a fix they wont disappear...

Well as long as they have submitted detailed bug reports then the devs will pick them up (all based on user impact, severity of the issue, what has caused it among the other hundreds of bugs reported). They cant just magically fix the bug just one someone saying so...they need to actually locate the issue (detailed bug reports come in handy here), then look for a fix, but before they can implement the fix, they will need to test it to ensure it works or doesnt cause any other bugs.....its not an easy process, especially how complex coding will be on games noawadays compared to the spectrum coding days lol

Must be the first mmo launch for most of these cry babies. If not, I feel even more sorry for you that you're still this whiney after knowing what all mmo launches are like. Take a patience pill and seriously just shut up.

Lets drop you into a room with no way out and let you rot in there for few days. Then we welcome you into "Zenimax sucks" club.

Comments like these aren't helping because most (not all) of them probably come from players who haven't encountered game-breaking bugs (in TESO that is).

    @‌Mennox

Here is the problem with your response... if they were actually looking for a cause they would be replying with tickets, interacting with people, and be more responsive. If the information given is lax, they should be doing this instead of waiting and hoping for someone to give them the information they need.

You see, a back and forth with troubleshooting to track down a bug is required more often than not, anyone who has worked in the industry knows this.. no matter how technical the information, sometimes it is something that is an unexpected behavior or something the person giving the information considers not part of the problem or the cause.

So... even though you are trying to brow beat and put the onus on those looking for help, you are dead wrong and need to back off.

Maint was moved to Fri and does not start for just under 4 hours, IIRC.

Sorry to hear that. But your not missing much, sad to say. Until they fix the bugged quests in the entire line, fixing one is all for not.

Really wish they would come up with a work around if its not going to be resolved any time soon.

Though I will admit, rolling with guildies doing the town quests in cyrodil is pretty fun. Get decent Veteran XP, and tons of alliance points. Though I also hear cyrodil is blocked for many people as well...

I am not sure you understand the core difference between development team and customers. It is job of QA and testers to file a "...detailed bug reports...", and if QA failed to discover defect during their testing stage - next job of this team is to investigate reports coming from customers (players in this case) and find a way to reproduce it. It is not up to actual customers to fill in detailed bug reports, mostly because most of the players may not be qualified enough to do that or don't have specific tools for detailed investigation.
So yeah, players have reported a sever issue that is blocking their progress, it is now _job_ of developer to locate it, reproduce, investigate, fix and then test the fix.

On the EU server it is (based on ZES' own posts, anyway)
