I had a bad feeling about this very thing the minute I saw that players were forced to show their login credentials in guild listings. It doesn't surprise me that hackers are forming whole guilds. I get mail bombed from gold farmers- I can't wait to start getting constant guild spam from them too.
In fact it wouldn't surprise me at all if players are randomly getting put into hacker guilds without approving it. I've been stuck in about ten random guilds since early start with different alts of mine, and I never said I wanted to be in any of them.
I think if you're busy crafting or fighting and don't see/can't see guild or friends' list invites, you are auto-joined after a set wait time. That must be the case, because I don't ever join anything but am in strange guilds with different characters all the time and I have to manually quit each one. Also, strangers have wound up on my friends list that I didn't put there.
In addition to creating their own guilds, they seem to be making characters and trying to get an invite to existing ones. I've seen at least 3 different characters, 2 named something along the lines of "dfdsadf".. and the last one being "popopo" all with the same "invite me to the guild" message. The message is two sentences long and basically saying they're a female player looking for a lovely guild. Second sentence starts without a space between it and the period. I don't think anyone has fallen for it, as most make fun of the name and it being a gold seller, but "popopo" sounds almost like it could be an actual character, so they might be getting smarter.

Which won't help them in the slightest except if players are careless, so it's not a big deal really apart from the annoyance.Brittany_Joy wrote: »It is probably to gain access to your userid
