Game automatically marks certain items as "junk". Bug, or working as intended?

So, because of limited guild bank space, periodically I go into our bank and remove certain items that I know players won't use. Mainly, this is recipe duplicates (since they don't stack, we can't afford to keep more than 1 or 2 of each in the bank at a time.)

Anyway, onto the point. When I sell these recipes to the vendor, often I'll find that 1 or 2 of the recipes have been moved to the junk section of my inventory. I was double-clicking them to sell them, so I really doubt I was accidentally "setting as junk" (that option is pretty far down the right-click menu, anyway, no way I was clicking it.) This has happened to be on many, many occasions, and almost always with recipes.

It seems to me like what is happening is, if I sell too many of the same item to a vendor, it starts automatically marking that item as junk. Is this an intended feature? If so, I want to be able to disable it. Just because I'm vendoring something today, doesn't mean I want it set as junk always and forever.

Haven't experienced this myself. Just how many of the same type of item were you vendoring at once?

There is a mod you can install to always mark a particular type of item as junk. You haven't got that one, do you?

Nope, no junk-related mods installed. I was vendoring something like 8 identical recipes at a time (so, 8 different stacks of the same item, essentially.)

I completely understand why, if the game has an auto-junk feature, it would have applied it to this situation. I would just like the option to turn it off, because this is a fairly regular occurrence for me.

I'm going to guess that when you flag something as junk it might turn an autoflag feature on?

Never seen anything in my 'junk' list.

There are items you can pick up that are no use in crafting recipes or any other usage to you apart from gold, if you look at a "junk" item, it should say "sell to a merchant for gold" or something, i've picked up a lot of these trash items, and it tells you its trash so you just sell it, however if its not one of these types of items then this isn't helpful to you, lol
