Help with weird lag

So here's my problem. I have a decent enough machine to run ESO at max settings with 50-60 fps. I even have been playing it on max since it launched, but ever since Monday the game has been giving me very weird and annoying graphical stuttering that make it basically unplayable.

So basically every time i hover over a monster or a person (i look at them with my toon) the game starts stuttering and the fps drops. I uploaded a vid to youtube and am pasting the link here so that everyone can see. If you can't notice the stuttering, focus on the fps counter on the top left of the screen and see how it drops in half the moment i hover over the tigers.

What i would like to know is whether this is an issue that is happening to other people and also if there is something done about it atm from Zenimax's side?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

    I haven't noticed it myself.

The scene in the video looking forward would require a lot less load than the scene to the right so it should drop the frames.

Under the assumption that the client is fine you could try going into your card settings and sliding it to performance. That would make the card cut down on extraneous tasks.

    A few other quick things.
Give your game priority in the task manager (DL prio to make it permanent)
Set your computer to high performance (power options)
If your using windows 7 it will park your CPU cores so you have to change that.

Don't know if that will fix it but it but it may mitigate it.

Armitas thank you for the suggestions, but it wasn't a PC performance issue. Two tigers can't cause 30fps drop :)

Anyway i found the problem and i am posting it here so that other people that might have can know.

It was caused by an outdated map add-on (the one for the skyshards). Why an outdated map add-on would cause graphical stutterings is beyond me, but there it is :) I disabled it and the game started running perfectly.
