Received a response to one of my tickets:
Greetings traveler,

Before I can assist you with this issue, I am going to have to have you verify some account information such as::

Name::
D.O.B.::
User ID::
Security Question Answer::
Email::

This normal? Seems like a lot of info that the Help Desk should know from looking at my account...
The only negative experience in ESO is those that make it negative.

    Not true. This is quite common with MMOs. They're trying to prove that you are the owner of the account. This isn't new.

    The disclaimer that they always provide is that no <Insert mmo company> employee will ask for their information in game. Support tickets through email are not in game.

    Now make sure the email is actually a valid ESO support email. ESO_Help@helpmail.elderscrollsonline.com is the right one.

    I've had similar questions asked in other MMO's, but always over the phone and never through email.
    04/10/14 - Bought digital Imp Edition directly on 3/5/14. Hadn't been able to play since launch.
    Finally got a callback email after 62+ hrs. Asked for a refund. Got a 1-day code instead. -_- Heh.
    Pending decision: one more chance or go stuff yourselves.

    Oh I checked to see that it was from ESO English Support at ESO_Help@helpmail.elderscrollsonline.com first thing. Just odd to have those account verification questions arrive via email

    I had the same issue with them pre-release, regarding my pre-order... I was shocked they would ask for that all in an email, so I phoned them, and the guy on the phone was like yes, we need all that. He was oblivious to any security risk or concern sending that kind of information through email. He just thought there was no issue at all, and was surprised I was concerned.

    Well, this is the game that uses your username in guildchat. And ignore lists. Pretty much just hangs it out there for anyone to choose to see. :)

    Talk about waving the cape in front of the bulls. It's almost like they're daring the hackers to come and get them. LOL

    I had problem and asked for help and they asked for those things exactly. Its ok you don't need to worry, about the questions at least I don't know enough about mail security to say anything about that :)

    On that note, if any of you get someone called Jodee Lin your in luck cause all my problems vanished and all my questions was answered.
