Filed a Complaint with the Better Business Bureau! Maybe I will finally get a response from Zenimax

I just finished filing a report with the Better Business Bureau, which Zenimax HAS to respond to. Never dealt with a company that doesn't even email any kind of confirmation that they received my messages. I just want a refund of my $79.99 or at least a partial refund.

I'm hoping finally, this gets resolved! Apparently, Zenimax has over 99 complaints against them already.

    For what it's worth, and this is more of a PSA than anything, filing a claim against a company through the BBB means very little to most companies. Businesses actually pay the BBB to be accredited through them (thus the BBB is on the business's side). As long as the company does anything to attempt to resolve an issue, the BBB will side with the company.

    If you get any money back for whatever reason it's not because they're worried about their BBB claim.

    TL;DR BBB claims are a joke if you're using them to bully companies.

    The BBB is not part of the government and they do not have any power. Zenimax doesn't HAVE to do anything. The BBB is just an old off-line version of Ebay feedback. Except they aren't really even that, because they have been caught in scandals involving accepting money to change a business's rating. So that makes them worse than useless.

    Nothing else matters IF Zenimax contacts me and refunds me at least partial or offers something. I could care less about BBB, only that I get contacted

    I've noticed that there are two results for Zenimax. ZeniMax Media, Inc, and Zenimax Online Studios. The Media Inc one is the one with the D+ rating, but the Online one is spotless thus far. I would think that the online one (which is listed with the description of internet gaming) is the one to report.

    *also, all 98 of the complaints agains Media Inc are listed as having been "closed."

    BBB won't do much, heck they rated Steam with an F an steam is super popular but give EA an A, what's that tell you. Your complaint won't go far sadly. But what is your issue? Just that your not getting a refund?

    There are millions of people playing the game, progression bugs, issues with payments not processing correctly, and many people sending in tickets about everything. They're a bit swamped right now.

    The BBB is no better than Angie's List. Both say that they rate companies based upon consumer input. In reality, they are based by how much money the company gives the BBB. I worked for a total tool who routinely ripped people off. He had a AA rating.

    You will see that the representatives of this company will answer to all complaints and help speed up the process if, and only if, the post gets enough 'upvotes' and stays on the front page long enough.

    So i suggest going public with the issues you have about the game and you will get responds in no time at all. Other option is to just wait and hope for the best, and enjoy those copy/pasted useless info the ingame support messages the customer support staff sends you.

    You're wasting your time with the BBB. Whether or not you get a refund will have absolutely nothing to do with you contacting them.

    I think I would have the same chance of success for a refund by threatening to curse the company in some bizarre voodoo ritual.

    I've had success utilizing the BBB with complaints about the lawyer firm I was using. I noticed that Zenimax is not technically registered with them, though, which may make a difference.
    This is all part of the game.

    You do not deserve an instant response for simply increasing your level of tears, and thinking you should come before everyone else is nothing more than a childish sense of entitlement.

    Careful I've already received a caution for using language like this in another thread in which another one of these types went off - apparently calling someone an entitled child for acting like an entitled child is a no-no.
    The only negative experience in ESO is those that make it negative.

    The game just released, they probably have thousands upon thousands of tickets... They can't respond to every one all at once, put yourself in their shoes man.
