Treasure Maps Containers (BoP) and I cannot deposit in my bank

Treasure Maps Containers (BoP) and I cannot deposit in my bank, and it appears that opening them the maps inside are also BoP, so I cannot deposit them to pick up on a correct faction alt.

All 4 give the message "You can't do that now!" when trying to deposit

Same here, can't deposit the containers. I'm left with even less space in my inventory and I can't get the maps to my correct characters.

I've reported this as a bug because it does not make sense since the treasure maps are indeed for all factions and cover all starter zones. Yet they all become bound to only one character belonging to one faction.

That "container" is indeed "bound" to that char, that redeem it from message (ingame mail), still if i open them, i can toss them in bank and transfer to other character - tested and still work this way. Still be more happy if i can deposit 3-4 container that 10-30 maps.

I just tried it again and it in fact worked to deposit a single CE map. The last time I tried it did not work. I also noticed that the Ring of Mara was "Bound" and I had no problems putting that in the bank previously. Not sure why the maps did not work before but happy that it works now.

Just found out what the issue is. When you first take out a map from the container you can't deposit it into the bank. Once you relog then you can. So that is the bug.

I was able to deposit all of my maps into the bank after taking them out of the container. Then I created a random toon and had him take out all of the maps so they don't take up so much space in my bank.

How did you manage to remove a bound item from the bank on a different character?

Unpack the Coldharbour map since it's a single and put that in the bank. Leave the three containers on the one character and unpack maps one by one as needed. Just don't hit R and take them all.

In the beta you could put the boxes in the bank. I don't know why they changed it.

It's "bound" but not to a character. It's bound to the account, I believe. This confused me as well. I wish they would change the tooltip to reflect that.

Yes, it is bound to the account but it is not only the tooltip that throws people off. There is a bug here as well - you will be informed that you can't deposit a map because it is bound if you have removed it from the container during the same game session. After a relog it becomes possible to deposit it. At least this is how it works for me.

You really should be able to put the containers in the bank so you do not take up all your bag space with all the individual maps till you need them. I think this was a mistake on the part of the developers to not allow it.

I am really not happy to have to hold all the containers on one toon and have to remember which map to send to other toons. If I could just put the containers in the bank then individual toons in their own faction areas can grab the appropriate containers and remove the maps they need.

The "bug" here is that you can't deposit the container into the bank. I don't know why. This may be intended...either way, I agree that the container should be able to go into the bank. But...you can put the individual maps in the bank once they are removed from the container. If you want, you can create an alt mule who does nothing but hold the maps for you. :P
