Remove loot from bosses

Dear Zenimax,

Please remove all loot drops from public dungeon bosses. It's nigh impossible to get credit for completing the mini dungeon when there are 10 people all standing in one spot (many of them bots) just farming the boss for drops.

Just make it so they only drop the loot once per character.
    Then people can't farm it.

I've had no problems, even with 15+ people camping out. I find it fun. Nice social experience.

I don't think most people are farming those bosses, there's usually not much on them anyways. It's more due to the fact, it takes a couple of repops to finally get credit for the kill.

Actually, I'd love to see much better rewards on bosses and less focus on treasure chests, to be perfectly honest.

I do it for the blue items they drop, some of them are weapons or armor I can use, others I can send to friends or break down for crafting exp.

Removing loot from dungeon bosses might very well be the worst idea ever in the MMO genre.
Apart from banning bots, maybe making the public instances smallr (as in less people at once) could be "it", because even if there is noone farming at the end, the dozens of people running around are very anticlimatic to say the least.
    Failing is a lifestyle too.

It's a pain for players who are trying to tag the boss when there are 5 to 10 other players doing the same. And on top of that a good portion of the players farming these bosses out level the boss by 5 levels or more.

Edit: for the record I'm more for tweaking these to be less rewarding when you out level the boss. But not for them to start temp banning people.

People are getting their accounts suspended for 72 hours for this. I have 4 friends that did.

I hope this isn't true. While I think the dungeons need to be tweaked, I disagree that this is in any way an exploit.

Some of these people are just plain botting.
Myself and others have witnessed this.
The same player/s not moving, not talking for hours.
We can leave and come back and they are in the same spot doing the same cycle.
I did post here this morning. http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/73584/botters-and-bosses#latest as it is getting out of control.

I do agree that there are clearly some bots taking advantage of this, but the answer to bots shouldn't be to nerf content rewards into the ground. Bots will just move on to something else and people will ask for that to get nerfed also.

Hmm.. Maybe look at the spawn timers while you're at it, some of them must be slow.

I've never had problems waiting for a boss. I've literally had them respawn on top of me while I was still looting their corpse on multiple occasions.

But I agree, and thought of this by level 8, they should either drop loot for you one time, or just once per day.

This is an absurd suggestion. It's not going to happen. It's a fundamental thing in the game. Change the way you play, for now, to diminish the problem. Some quest bosses in dungeons are instanced in any case, so those bosses are all yours.

Have you been reporting the bots? Are you expecting someone to do it for you? Hold "F", select "Report Player" Type "This is a loot bot" and hit enter. Done.

The legitimate players will get bored and move on. Try playing at off times. I don't play from 4pm - Midnight because it's so crowded. Level more slowly, eventually the power leveling wanna-be pack will thin out.

Make the dungeons private, with the option to invite friends. Problem solved and actually makes them a challenge since mobs are not elite anyway.

I wish they'd make the solo bosses public bosses and I don't care about the loot or the farmers.. if they want to sit and kill the same npc over and over.. they got the game let them. I've just been killed by a solo boss that was 5 levels lower than I was.. lv18 on a lv 13 quest. Having earlier killed a lv 21 solo boss (eventually) as lv 18. Either get the balance sorted or make them public so i can get a friend to help.

I am not meaning to sound cold or rude, but after a few years of playing these types of games, I have learned a few things to keep in mind:
    1) no one owes you an explanation nor are they required to talk to you when you feel like talking to them. this is not meant to be rude, but you should keep in mind that after so many mmos, it gets old having to 'prove' your not a bot. not even to mention that the target mob can pop and you end up losing out because your typing. If I find a perfect spot to hit the targets, and get loot, there is little reason to move.

    2) instead of making the mobs pointless, why not just set them to repop more frequently? there are plenty of valid in game reasons to farm a mob, and not everyone looking to farm is a gold seller.

    3) in the history of MMOs, every single tactic to stop gold sellers has hurt the player base far more then the gold sellers.

I would agree with after a certain amount of levels above the boss and the drops should end, say 5 or 10 levels above. sorta gives a reason to find the next farming spot instead of just staying in one spot.

I would say let the players who want to farm it, do so but tweak it so the players can get some credit for the kill. Also making sure that you have a fast claim, decent damage ability so you can at least get a hit or two would be recommended.

I thought they had this system in place? Aside from the level 1 mobs that you can farm mats off of or the mobs that dropped quest items. I never received a drop from a mob when I helped some friends do Spindle when I was 12 levels higher than the dungeon.
