I will be receiving my IE tomorrow, I have played the beta and the early access and was unable to play after Sunday. I preordered the regular edition, but when I went to pick it up, I upgraded to the IE and canceled my original order.
I have not played since Sunday, but I have been on the forums now and again to see what is going on and I gotta say, I'm a bit nervous about putting in my code and starting a sub just yet, I was just wondering if it is safe to do so, I dont want to lose any bank slots, items or get banned for unexplained reasons... ect. Should I wait to start my sub, or is it safe to go ahead and go for it?
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

The vast majority of people are not having these issues, it just looks bad because the issues are causing a number of players to be completely unable to play and thus the forums are flooded.

I haven't lost items or bank slots and don't know anyone who has. Apparently the bans are happening because people are engaging in activities that resemble that of gold sellers, ie transferring large amounts of gold between characters. You are certain to encounter bugs and there is no guarantee that none of this will happen to you, but I would go for it, it's worth it.

I paid for the game and now I can't even play because they never sent me my 30 day code. Apparently I need that to get up my subscription.

    Apparently?!

You realize all you see are honest people doing their best to speculate anything they could've possibly done wrong?

Zenimax has specifically told us that no reason was recorded when we were banned and thus they cannot provide us with one. Then they "escalate" the ticket, theoretically making it higher urgency, yet they ignore you for days and counting.

OP, the gameplay itself is great when it works. But this launch really brings the integrity of the developer into question. If you're anything like me you endure enough infuriating customer service experiences involving more important things as is....

I have played beta and the 3 day early access, I love the game, but I don't know if it would be worth all the possible headaches there is the potential for, I may just wait until the weekend or maybe even the next weekend to see if any patches show up, or even some kind of word from Zen themselves stating that there has been fixes in place for all of this.

Saddens me to say it but... take your money elsewhere. The game is AMAZING but its not worth it, coming from someone who HASN'T been Banned.

Join us! Years from now we will all be discussing this release, in worst case scenarios, as other games go live. Don't you want to belong to the smug old-timer group of "Heck, this is nuttin, in 2014 when EOS was released they.....".

    Maybe I'll even make a T-Shirt.

Best MMO I've played in a LONG time. It revived the same feelings I had when I first played WoW... and I played WoW for 8 years.

The problems you hear on the forums are only from a minority of people having problems. Most of us are in-game and everything is perfect.

    The water is fine.

I've been playing every single day since March 30. I have not been banned. I have not had my bank emptied. I have not been rolled back. I have not been locked out due to subscription issues.

Are there people who have had one of these problems? Sure, they are problems that exist, but the game is full of people playing. It is not a ghost town in there.

Just remember that the game is not a bouncy ball inflatable castle. Some places have pointy edges. There are bugs in the game.

I'm the same as the above post. I've had zero issues with my bank, roll back, subscription or 'mystery ban'. It's unfortunate for those who have, but things will get sorted in time. I'm glad to be playing and don't regret starting early at all.

Yeah, I actually agree with you. The game wasn't bad, most of the things in-game that need a fix are pretty acceptable, in terms of scope. :) For some reason, though, for me as soon as I hit the support ticket system, the whole experience changed! *shrug* I'm honestly glad you're enjoying the game. :)

Well, it has arrived... this is the true meaning of mixed emotions, I really enjoyed the time I have had in game, better then almost any mmo I have played (DAoC still holds a high place in my heart) and seems as tho it has the potential to be great, maybe I should flip a coin, or call a psychic to tell me my future  or maybe just f..k it and jump in with both feet and see what happens

both feet please. you'll have fun. If you encounter a bug or a problem, open a ticket and go do something else for a bit. So much to do, so little time. If you dont like it then likeit , then like any other game, you can shove it aside and darn, that coulda been another daoc.

Phear my lurikeen!!!! Pbaoe power! Go get him little enchanter buddy!

Gah! I miss my little underhill zealot or my big firbie shield buddies keeping me alive to pbaoe

You don't get a code for the 30 days. You have to set up a subscription plan first. Once you do that, you will then have access to your free 30 days.

Full of bugs, including the ones that empty your entire bank. People are getting banned and find themselves unable to contact customer service due to the mayhem of launch.

If you are going to play 3 hours every day, that might not matter. You'll restock your inventory quickly, you'll deal with the ban promptly and you'll be playing the moment you get unbanned. But for people who have a limited amount of free time, where these types of bugs and errors are going to seriously set them back, this is a killer. I don't know which category you fall into, but make an educated decision based on the number of progress-reverting bugs and so forth.
