Could this be Zenimax acting out of character to throw us off? :P

Happy to hear the wonderful news, @growlar‌ !

I'm glad to see that Zenimax is helping their customers. These things take time, as they're likely swamped on all fronts. I'm glad that they awarded you 7 free days as well.

Interesting. I've been waiting for a reply since Sunday morning. Congrats however

You do realize you can only access these forums with an account from the beta, right? Most people didn't play it...

Untrue, I was never in Beta, only began during early start.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

The forums are open access now. You don't even need an account to read posts.

Appear to be breaking the TOS? Where are you getting this information? If you review the OPs email you'll see that no information was provided as to why the "unintentional" ban even occurred.

To make a somewhat questionable analogy, is it okay to put an innocent person in jail if you catch 5 criminals in the process? Easy for you to say when you haven't been banned.

Your argument would at least somewhat apply if they responded to appeals. We see one example here, stated by the OP in miracle-like fashion. I have been waiting since Sunday morning and I'm sure others have been longer. Zenimax explicitly told me there was no recorded reason for the ban and did not say a word more.
If they banned someone, it wasn't unintentional. It might have been mistaken/done in error/or reached as the wrong conclusion without every detail of the incident, but it wouldn't be unintentional.

People who are transferring large amounts of gold *should* set off the radar. I know one of the people discussing this did say their boyfriend gave them a chunk of gold to get a horse. The tech people, not knowing about the boyfriend and the horse got the chunk of gold transfer, and went under the first impression of gold selling. Just because someone doesn't think they did anything doesn't mean they didn't inadvertently do something.

You also have no way of know whether they are actually responding to the appeals. Not everyone comes back to say, "Hey, we worked it out and it is solved." People will always come to say there was a problem. Once the problem is solved they don't always come back to say so. And the mods here aren't going to discuss the details of anyone's account with anyone other than the account holder.

I hope your issue gets sorted out and fixed, whether you decide to stay with the game or not.

I appreciate your lengthy reply but you really don't understand. Been playing MMOs for 12 years and never ran into any problems in any game. Play this one for 4 days and am permanently banned with no reason provided. And you think it's intentional. Yet somehow these issues are popping up all over along with other equally moronic and irresponsible events.

I mean it is not possible to "accidentally" ban someone. You have to do certain things in a certain order to ban someone. I moderate on a discussion forum; I've banned people. It isn't like you move the mouse an inch too far and "Ooops, banned." Whatever reasoning they used, at the end of it, right or wrong justified or not, banning someone is intentional. If they somehow automated part of it, they *really* have to re-evaluate whatever standards they're using.

I do hope they get the CS under control and get the major problems with accounts and billing and access solved. Not to mention getting the csr staff all up to speed and on the same page. The longer it takes them to do that the more people are going to be rightfully upset and angry.
