Blessings of the Eight Quest can't complete

Not sure if this is a singular issue with me or others are experiencing this. But the quest "Blessings of the Eight" on Auridon, one portion of it is undoable, and you cannot complete the quest.

The particular in question is in the shrine of Trinimac and Xarxes, where you have to gather the rod of flame and burn the shrines. rod is gatherable from the corpse, but you do not get a actionable item when you stand next to the fire alters.

In the other shrine, where you do a similar thing with the water, it works fine. stand in the water, an actionable item pops up, clicky and your OK. but nothing in the fire shrine.

I'll keep the quest in my book as long as I can, but this one may be something to put on the bug list.

Personal Actions taken: left shrine (restarts that shrine), didn't fix. dropped staff, didn't fix. dropped quest and restarted, didn't fix. changed order I did shrines, didn't fix. Stood in the fire crucible, didn't fix (got a nice warm feeling in my footsies tho). tried all crucibles in shrine, nothing.

You have to line up the flame between you and the shrine, if I recall.

It will work. Stand on the right hand side of it when you're looking at the shrine. Keep moving your character around slightly while targeting the shrine. It's a "sweet spot" you have to find.

If you can't find it...bug report and move on. That particular quest isn't important.

Yeah there is only a very small window for getting the actionable item for it. It took me a bit to find the right spot for it. Same with the water one.

Don't fret, keep retrying. I managed to get it after 6 days of retries. Now finally I managed to get all the dots right, and the piece of paper was there, the rod was there and while lining up from the brassier, was the shrine interactable. Done it.

ahh, Thanks for the info and votes of support folks ill get on it and try to get it done. sounds like I just need a bit more persistence

Doesn't work for me at all.

I've been running around those damn braziers for ages and can't get it to work.

one on toon had to relog quite a few times, but the re-log approach eventually worked on all.

As a matter of fact, im finding that a relog fixes about 3/4 of the quest issues I run into....just the other day on the sister quest in that same area (collecting the relics or something like that), the relic chests were not showing up. relogged once, and they were back.

This instanced world technology is quite buggy. not too impressed with the bugs, though I'm impressed with it when it works!

simple it only works, if there is an actual letter/note besides the corpse who carries the rod of flame. Read note, loot rod of flame and stand next to the flaming brazier. then there should be definately an interactable option "E" available (when you target the dark cloud from there). however it's possible that sometimes the letter/note doesnt appear but you do see this golden glow of where the letter/note should be, in this situation it's bugged. just re-log a couple of times until you see the actual note again next to the body and it's 100% quest complete. hope this will help you.

Exactly as above. I have found that if a quest isn't working in this game, you have to relog. I had to do that several times for this quest. I have had to do this for many quests in Auridon.

tried that multiple times with note available, still couldn't target the braziers. So far, the only assured solution has been relogging for me if they aren't triggerable.

But it's definitely good to make sure you grab the note first. I've noticed a few quests in this game that bug if you don't do things in their specific "order". Like the very first quest on the Dominion starting area. if you don't grab a bug juice before each marine you talk to, there's a change you will bug the quest...even if you already have the juice in your inventory, you need to grab another to move the quest stages along.

Just another little quest issue they need to clean up.

Yea this is bugged, I did my usual rounds on this, first try to figure it out by the info from the quest and related items, once I reach my threshold on time spent on such I check the internet and finally to Youtube. Did exactly as in the youtube video and it never shows any option to activate ("E") when standing behind the flame.

Quest abandoned, shame the work in making the quest goes to waste, I put alot of time into enjoying the content since it's usually high quality but in between reporting the massive amounts of spammers and botters I just don't feel like spending too much time on each station anymore.

I just did it, attached a screenshot of where my character was standing if helpful. It just takes a wee bit of patience.

Yup. Pretty much the only way to complete this one is to relog after cleansing each temple and before you enter the next one.

I'm just glad to find this post and realize it's not my noobiness and personal failure! LOL I will keep going back til i get this right. I did find that the shrine which requires you to light several braziers ( I think Shrine of Mara?) isn't bugged, it's on a timer so you have to run to each brazier while the others remain lit, then that one works fine! Its a speed test Cheers everyone.

I had to log out and in again, then I could get the Rod again and it worked.
