Game will not start

Every time I go to press play, nothing happens besides not being able to click the play button again. My computer seems to load something for a second, then just stops altogether.

I tried a repair three times now, no luck. I sent my question about this under the support tab more than 24 hours ago with no response. Anybody else having these issues? It sounds like it could be a PC problem, but I play countless other games without any problems.

Do you get a UserSettings.txt file generated in your Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\Live folder? If not you could try copying and pasting the file, as documented here, there as it has helped others to get the game to launch. You need to scroll down a ways to get to the appropriate section where the file is attached.

No, all folders under Live are empty.

That usually indicates the game is encountering some problem during launch that is preventing the files from being created. Try the above suggestions, it has helped others.

    First, thanks for responding.

Second, I have searched all over these boards for posts like mine, have followed what other people have done to fix this problem, and still nothing. At this point, just waiting on a phone call from them, but who knows how long that could take. Looks like they're extremely busy.

The Non-Play play button is a common issue. Try copying and pasting that text to a text file and saving it in your Live folder as UserSettings.txt. It has resolved the issue for many others. Updating your graphics card driver and running the DirectX Run-Time Library is also a recommended action.
