Ever since the second to last beta, I've been having issues where the game will freeze for 2-3 seconds and also where the world will only load half of it's resources.
Either I'll be running through an area and realize that I see no trees or enemies and I need to reload my ui, or I have run into an area that is completely unrendered (it's just a washed out texture.).
This can get pretty annoying as the game doesn't register anything in the area and I'll end up under a bridge or in a tree or I'll run into a camp full of enemies and die as soon as I reload.
It's important to note that this issue is very inconsistent. It doesn't happen all the time and restarting my computer doesn't do much that /reloadui wouldn't do. Like I said, it's only started as the game got closer to launch. I played with perfect performance before the second to last wave.
So my question is this. Is this just a kink that will work itself out as performance enhancements roll out or is it my computer? Was there a change in the optimization in the build that my computer just can't handle?
here's my rig.
Intel 2.4ghz dual core processor
Windows 7 64bit
8 GB Ram
Nvidia 560 TI with 2gb memory.
Any insight would be appreciated!
