FIX FOR LOGIN TIMED OUT ERROR

shad0wgunb14_ESO
If you are getting this issue as i did i just found a fix that worked for me. NOTE this may not work for you i do not know and do not blame me if it does not. To fix this issuse follow these steps. in your program files go to zenimax online then open the launcher folder. In this folder remove the ProgramData folder DO NOT DELETE IT JUST IN CASE i recommend moving it onto your desktop just get it out of the launcher folder. Now that it is gone run the launcher from the folder and it should patch. It might say ERROR 210 manifest not found or something like that just ignore this and re launch the launcher. The game should let you in now i really hope this helps and ill see you in the game if it does.

I still can't get it to work. I even copied the entire launcher folder from my much slower WIN8 machine. I am using 7 on this machine, not sure if that is a clue or not. I don't think so, since they are kinda the same thing. but who knows

I am using windows 7 to clarify do not put the ProgramData back into the folder after you patched it and it should patch once the folder in completely out of the launcher folder. If it does not start patching then maybe the same error happened and try removing the ProgramData folder again. Also i lauched the launcher from the launcher folder not sure if that make a difference but its worth a try.

Also after you patch the launcher and get that error message just close the launcher and launch it again it should say play. After that it worked for me unfortunatly i cant help with your problem if it is different because i do not have it

It is absolutely pathetic when a USER can do the job that Zenimax should already be doing themselves. Especially when a users suggestions fixes the issue I was experiencing on the first try.

So in this instance, I'd like to extend my thanks to the original poster in this thread, rather than Zenimax "support". Shame on you Zenimax. Shame on you.

Holy crap it worked!!!!! Thank you! I've been waiting for hours for a phone call from customer support. Glad I checked the forums again! You are a very clever and creative thinking person. (Why didn't I think of that!).

You can simply rename the program data folder to programdatabackup. To be honest there is an earlier post (30th of march) by a ZOS admin stating this solution . Make it a sticky please

I was getting this error as well and my game appeared up to date. But, I was not actually using the launcher, but instead trying to run the game from eso.exe (I began this habit when trying to bypass launcher errors in other games) When I used the launcher instead, it updated the game and I got right in. Ensure you are actually using the launcher when you attempt to start up the game.
