Pressing E has become a luxury...

Pressing the E button is a luxury T_T Has anyone els had problems with pressing E?
I just rage-quit the game. I need some chocolate liquor before I can let myself be entertained by these bugs.

After the implementation of the last two patches, I have experienced this:
*My character freezes while in combat, or just questing.
*I sometimes (very often) can't press E to get in buildings, or get out of buildings! Looting barrels, opening chests etc.
*NPCs and players visually dissappear from me, but I can still see the horsies and pets.
*When the game sometimes freezes for some seconds, I can move around but not interact ...I can't fight, use any spells, sheath and unsheath.... but I can recieve damage from invisible NPCs and get logged out of the game. When I log back on, it tells me that my character died in combat and asks if I want to respawn at the nearest shrine.
*Lyris in Coldharbour doesn't follow me when she should, when I get there she looks all normal, standing quit at her place, but then my health gets drained.... and after some seconds she looks like she just got damage from the deathblast of a fire atronach and I see the body of a dead fire atronach lay before her.


The chocolate liquor is working, I'm 35% in the mood to bother with bugs again..

Yes I have experienced all of these thing, but not for extended periods of time.

I'm not having many problems with the game at all, crosses fingers.

One can always remap the key to a better one for key set up....

What you are describing happens to me when my wifi router starts dropping packets and creating lag. I just log and reboot it and that usually it fixes it. If it doesn't I just assume the problem is either on the server or between me and server. If you share your internet connection with anyone else then you should yell at them for killing you and then give them chocolate liquor.

Oh hell no, I will not give my chocolate liquor to my bf ...I just got him a nice account on eso today along with 16 12% vol beers, cigarettes, steak and shared my internet with him for ESO ...ohhh he's stealing my internet T_T

I didn't say that he was stealing anything. Just that you should yell at him. XD

I had a couple of episodes like that, and they were caused by internet connection problems (e.g. after logging out I couldn't get to email either.) So it's probably not the game itself.

Hmm I just reset my connection and played for a while, but the problems are still there. Now I have to test how often I get them... because this time it took a while before they showed up.

I don't yell, I just won't give anyone my chocolate liquor ...it's all mine

are you using wireless connection? i know those things can happen to me when i dont plug in.

Leeta - yes, unfortunately wireless connection is my only option, although it is a good connection. Too good maybe.. I just figured out that my Wi Fi card was not being able to handle such a good connection. I tuned the connection down a bit, and now I don't get those problems ...my computer is a fossil from 2009.

Guys, thank you for pointing out that the problem may have been my internet connection, otherwise it would have taken me a loooong time to figure it out by myself.

I log in, lag to much, log out. Log in, find oneself dead, lag too much, log out. Third time logging in it seems my lag stops and I can play pretty fine.

But I do experience the vanishing mobs and npcs. My character runs around with an invisible weapon drawn. My character sometimes forgets how to pus open a door.

I also tried braking LoS on a mob the other day by hiding behind a building after using shadow cloak. Seems they can attack (ranged) through walls and see you through walls. Not experienced that since 1995

The lag is very annoying, but after I reset my connection and tuned it down a bit, it get a lot better.


I hate that enemies in this game can give me damage and kill me, when they're very close, but I can't damage them at all. I have to get 2-3 feets away from them to be able to attack them.

A friend invented an new word for that => relagging ( little change of the word "relogging" )

It´s relogging in order to get rid of the lags.

You may use it in the same way.
ex: "Wait a second. I am relagging."or "I have to relag."

My character refuses to respond sometimes too, just can move but cant perfom attacks or any other action.

A workaround i use is to press the "Esc" key and my character turns responsive again.

Its not the perfect solution but keeps me going till they fix whatever is happening.

Not experienced this until just now : invisible NPC`s characters mobs and questobjects. Relog has sorted it so far except this last time where this miniboss just kept attacking me being invisible, bugging out my HP bar at 1% which didn`t regen <.< But better than yesterday where I was not able to log any of my characters due to the unkown error xD

I have not experienced any of these issues. The simple suggestion is to make sure your LAN isn't dropping connection out of nowhere. As for the unresponsive "E" for interact, that may as well be another connection issue, is the game running as administrator? Perhaps you need to reinstall the drivers for your keyboard. Try rebinding the key to something else, does it fix it?

I've only experienced the problem with pressing E, sometimes having to press it at least several times before anything responds. It sounds an awefull lot like a lag issue though. And at times mobs/npcs (though not players) will randomly disappear when I reach them.
