Maintenance schedule / login timeout

Ok, so maintenance is over and servers are supposed to be up since 4:12pm if I remember correctly from the official post. Yet all I get is login timeouts. The forums are also going belly-up, probably being DoS'ed by players looking for answers (by the way: the autosave feature doesn't help here - I've had to restart this post several times, copy/pasting a bit at a time when the autosave makes the page crash).
I could be wrong, but I strongly suspect this is due to maintenance taking place in mid-day and servers going up just when people are getting home from work/school/whatever. Might I suggest better planning of maintenance scheduling in the future?
[EDIT]One hour trying to log in and the client finally downloads something. When I try to log in, it seems my computer is no longer authorized to access the game and I need to enter a code sent by email. Mind you, this is the only computer where I've ever accessed the game since the first beta I participated in. And of course, there's no email to be found with the code until the third try (with a decent wait between attempts just in case the mail was stuck in the tubes). I made the original post as a way of providing friendly feedback, but right now I'm seriously concerned about Zenimax's quality of service.
