I have the same problem.
Starting from my desktop didn't work, so i go to the directory and launch the game from the directory, instead of using the launcher
Bump, does anyone know if there's an .ini file or .manifest file that can be tweaked to fix this? @donlonge, you might be better in the PC Tech support subforum. Have you opened a support ticket? There will be a wait, better to get that started now even fi we can come up with fix.

See, your wait time could be anywhere from an hour to 3 days, so better to get it started now.
DON'T reply to the email you get for your ticket, UNLESS a CRS rep closes the ticket. It APPEARS currently the policy is for tier 1 reps to offer the best solution they can think of and close the ticket as resolved without waiting for a reply. At THAT point, if it's not fixed, reply to the email and it will escalate.
If you reply BEFORE the ticket gets seen and responded to, you risk getting entered as a re-opened ticket and dropping to the bottom of the queue.
It's all anecdotal, don't take it as the gospel truth. It's just what I pieced together during my wait. There are some people out there working to get stuff fixed, but it's all a mess. Nothing to do but hunker down and wait. \o/
