EU Primetime Maintenance and Patches

I just thought I'd start another topic about this because the other topic I was reading, americans keep on throwing in what they got to say.
It's great that it's not Prime Time over there, BUT they are taking down EU SERVERS on EU PRIMETIME.

This is the issue here. This has to change.

I enjoy the game and I deeply appreciate that bugs will be fixed. But you have two servers, one of them is for the EU. So please, don't take us down when we finally come home to play.
It's unfair and will end up with loads of us being annoyed (and maybe even stop playing).

I'm sure that's not what Zenimax is going to achieve so it needs changing. Quickly.

I'm just happy that I didn't actually pay for any time in the game yet. The 30days included, well... came included.

But still. People look forward to playing this new and exciting game while they are at work or school, then come home just to be slapped in the face.
It's not fair on us europeans.

So, Zenimax, if you want to keep your EU customers and if you really want to show us that we are just as important as our american friends, change the time.

Thanks

    Its simple:
    1. Monthly subscription+ good customer service = I stay
    2. Monthly subscription+ poor customer service= I quit
    3. Free game+ do whatever= I stay

I dont even ask for much, I just want Zenimax to communicate with us and treat us with respect.

There are a two things that bother me right now, and if they wont improve after a month, I will take a break from this game:

    1. I dont want to feel second class after the US
    2. Communicate with your community

You as a company want my money. Sure, I want to play this game, but there are other good games and trust me, this first impression you are giving us, will still be spread in +5 years

I know you have a lot to do, but where are the community managers? Why is not even 1 single guy speaking with us? That would satisfy many of us

I usually never comment on these sort of threads, partially because im IT and understand the need for downtime and partially because im not that desperate to play the game, but it's now come to the point where it's beyond absurd.

I get it, EU aint your focus, US is, but why bother with an EU server at all if you still ignore us completely and not only take down the EU server during our ABSOLUTE prime-time, but even take it down FIRST, rather than at least take the US one down first, since it's very much off-peak for them......and then for 3 hours ?
Last time it was even on a weekend!

Im sorry guys but there are a lot of players that need the downtime, because they cant progress in the game without that fixes. Some guys are waiting for up to 3 days because of a buggy NPC/Quest from the Main Storyline and if the cant complete it they cant play the VR-Content. And im sure right now are there some hundred players that have this problem.

Did they say 3 hours? Really wonder why it takes so long to apply a "small" patch. I'm a dev and if it's just code it should be pretty quick. Guess they want to test that the fix works, but still 3 hours.

About the selected time for patches. Either it's rushed because it's an urgent patch, or the people patching don't get paid to work non regular hours.

A lot? Please describe "a lot". I guess you mean the majority +50 Players? Well yes, you are right they are more important than the minority of normal eu-gamer. (Warning: sarkasm). Because they are the only ones who cant go on in the story. Everybody else can go forward, there are enough quests beside the mainstoryline.
But whait there would be a solution! The normal European Gamer is sleeping during night, perhaps it would be possible to time the shutdown with the few hours in the early morning. Like.. i dont know the game with the highest playercount on earth since ten years?
Blizzard (i am the opposite of a fanboy) organizes the shutdown very good... and oh my fu*** god they have much more than 2 Servers to coordinate.
Im happy that ESO isnt a copy of WoW, but in organisatioal and Supportservice you should look what the primus is doing.

Long day at work, 10 hours, and the server is down. Applaus, great job.

but then again, they could have patched like 2 hrs earlier aswell, i highly doubt that they just finished the coding, especially because they want to wait a few hrs before patching US (when they finished EU downtime, why doing that now, they could patch both at the same time for the pre launch maintenance thingy) so its closer to primetime there too

Couldn't have put it better myself. I Agree with everything you write here.

On one of the other threads an official from Zenimax wrote that this was the patch that was supposed to come tomorrow. Fair enough...

But why on earth would you think that UNANNOUNCED is better than ANNOUNCED (with people kinda being prepared for it tomorrow).

that would explain why the game feels so laggy sometimes(out of the red marker, still getting hit, especially cone attacks still hit me even when im standing behind the caster ._.)
maybe its just the way the game handles these things tho, combined with the animations being a bit clunky
