We're having a multitude of reasons people can't play the game they purchased because of software errors on Zenimax' part. (no game cards available/invalid billing info). Myself and several others can't subscribe due to errors when entering address for billing via website. As a company that already received payment for the product your only option to save face at this point is to extend the grace period immediately, then fix the issues. Extremely easy solution and smart business decision.

    I'm hoping that tomorrow, someone with some power will return to work and do just that. I feel bad for the customer service people today. Not like they can fix it.

    If they extend grace period then they would be pissing on everyone that has subscribed as it will start the 30 day free the moment you subscribe.

    So in addition then they would need to add day or two to the 30 day free for the people already subscribed to be fair.

    Would love to know as well. I'm having an issue subscribing because the website refuses to accept my billing address no matter what variation I use. I can't use a false address because it must match my credit card. I can't purchase a game card either because they aren't available until who knows when. I've opened a Ticket with generic responses telling me to do things I explained I already tried in the ticket. I'm presuming the site is not linking city and zipcode information properly. I'm one of many with this exact same issue

    Absolutely. And that's what they need to do unless they want an influx of bad PR and game refunds. I'm not even ranting... I'm simply stating the obvious thing that needs to happen

    You keep claiming this over and over, but you don't seem to have a clue what it is we want. Again, this isn't a "I get more time than you" BS class war sermon. START MY 30 DAY CLOCK, JUST LET ME PLAY. Not sure how that equates to "They have to give me free time or I'll cry".

    I agree that it would be a nice goodwill gesture, if they were to extend it until, say, Tuesday, for people that preordered physical copies and haven't received them yet. I received my imperial edition on Friday so I'm good to go, but I have Amazon Prime and got release day overnight shipping, and I imagine not everyone is that fortunate.

    But Zenimax can only do so much for poor planning of retailers. Tuesday I'd be fine with, just to get an extra business day in there for shipments to be received. Any more time than that, would have to be dealt with by the retailers themselves (by providing you a key, etc).

    When trying to set the subscription up, it shows as a 0.00 charge, but in effect they try to authorize the entire subscription value with your bank account.

    E.g. I chose monthly payments, it shows as paying 0.00, but they will try to pre-authorize the 13 euros for the subscription with my bank.

    they should have never have set this up in the first place, they should just let everyone's time expire and then let them buy a retail card or put it on their credit card. i mean i bought that game time as part of the preorder it was actually a big motivation of my purchase and now im bared from even playing a game iv already spent $80 on. i for one am a struggling college student who likes to play when i can so i dont just have 15$ i can let them charge to my account just to give it back later. they have just shot themselves in the foot because i will never purchase another game Bethesda or zenimax has anything to do with.

    I understand you might be angry because you cannot play. Demanding stuff from game creators/publisher. However no need to direct your anger towards other people.

    Since there seems to be some issues with certain cards or that retailer from where people have bought the game have not managed to ship the physical copy of the game. For the shipping there's not much of workaround other than cancelling order and changing it to digital version. For payment there are many options that could be used. Example your card doesn't directly work for subscription, use paypal or similar supported service to get around the issue. Change it later if wanted.

    how are you ok with giving them your money? i mean honestly if they do *** like this i can only imagine how its going to be later. i mean stop being a gullible idiot they are just farming information at this point they could have just waited until the 30 day's expired and everything would be fine but no they pull this ***.

    People can cancel before the end of their 30 days of included game time and face no subscription charge at all. I guess the main problem some people are having is the requirement to set up a subscription and payment option before they can continue access their 30 days of included game time. On this point I empathize and lets see what Zenimax does.

    A very simple solution to make everyone happy would be to extend the grace period 3 more days (addresses the issue with physical CE not arrived yet for some people) and then only require a subscription be set up after the 30 days of included game time is over.

    This is exactly what I want. I don't expect free time. I just want the time I was promised until I can get my copy and enter the code. Knowing how to code websirtes, this would be INCREDIBLY easy to do. Make it so people can enter billing info without the code via a hyperlink. Problem solved. Start my 30 days, and when I get my code, I'll enter it. Hell, you can even turn off my IE bonuses until then if it makes them feel better.

    why would they have to add game time to someone whos already subbed, all they have to do is make the 30 days of "free" game time actually free. activate it on everyones account and problem solved. those who already subbed and are playing, are subbed and are playing. they will have lost none of their own game time because ZoS opened the free gametime up, but if ZoS doesnt, they will lose those who might actually give them more money after it, otherwise no one will come back to the game, those that subbed will findthemselves with an empty game and be cursing that ZoS was so horrid to the rest of the community that the extra 15+ you all put in wasnt worth it.

    Cant play now in EU because they took the server down.

    So put the key on account Sunday .. cant play Monday .. yaaaay !!!!

    To people kicking off about when 30 days runs from .. in other mmos the 30 days runs from release so .. doesnt matter if they give grace period .. everyone still has to sub 30 days after official release.

    Extending the window is something other subscription based games have done as common practice in the past when faced with compounding issues like we are seeing. Having the extension end Sunday, a day without shipping, was poor judgement.

    Not to mention the CE concern is not just with one provider but several, and some of these same third parties claim they are still awaiting product from the source in order to continue to process orders. Plus the response is to work with the third parties where we were directed to make the purchase from.
