Changing email tied to account - does it actually get done?

Last week I put in a ticket to change the email tied to my game account. After a little back and forth verifying myself I was told that it had been done (on the 1st). I sent a reply to the most recent communication stating that it wasn't being reflected in my account, but that's almost a week ago now. It still shows my old email address when I log in to the accounts page, and I still get notifications sent to my old email address.

I don't really want to have to open a new ticket about this as whoever was handling the first one (which was a different person for every response) should have done it right the first time around. Is there any guarantee that if I ask again that it will be done this time?
