No CC, No Paypal account can't activate "free" 30 days. Refund question

So i have no CC and no paypal account, how can i get granted ... How can i get the 30 days game time i paid for without those two? I depend on Gift cards for internet purchases so i was basically planning to buy GTCs IF i wanted to renew again.

So i have to buy a GTC and then hope i'll still like the game and be able to play the whole next month?

Also, how do i get a refund if i can't activate those 30 days?

I am not going out and buying game time to access the free 30 day period. If that is the case I would Like a refund.

I can't subscribe at all, i don't have a CC and paypal account. I was planning to buy GTCs to renew but i'm NOT gonna buy one now just to get those 30 days. I can't plan 2 month ahead to play video games.

Any way to refund the game? If i can't free those 30 days held hostage. (Buying time to free time, does that even make sense? No it doesn't, like this subscription system)

For the refund policy for online games, usually after a certain amount of time, you are not able to refund it (virtual items/games/etc). I've had this happen a few times to me and I ended up having to keep a game that I did not want.

I will migrate this ticket to the folks going through refund requests. I can't guarantee they will be able to refund, but if they can, we'll process your refund for you.

They are probably swarmed with folks who bought this game under the assumption that they could play a paid subscription MMO for free without actually having a billing account. Nowhere in the history of MMO's would I ever expect to try and do such a thing, but I will not fault you brave, troubled souls for trying. I always said MMO's went downhill since World of Warcraft, and this proves it. Look at it on the bright side --at least now you won't end up disappointed after the 30 days elapses, wishing you could afford a subscription...


There's always FTP games available. Better luck next time.

It's a MMO. This is fairly standard. You should have done a tiny bit of research on how MMO subscriptions usually work beforehand. It says on the site and box both that a valid subscription is required. Your own refusal to read the words or inability to comprehend them is not Zenimax's fault.

Actually, no. This is not standard procedure. Rift didn't do it, neither did the largest MMO on the market (world of warcraft) so people need to stop saying this as if it invalidates any complaints about zenimax forcing players to provide a valid payment plan just to access the time they paid for when purchasing the game.

Yeah.. Really upset that I can't play my included 30 days unless I pay again for a subscription. I have every plan to continue playing after those 30 days, but I just don't have the money for it right now and would love it if I could play without having to pay again so soon.

There are no Time Code Cards available at this current time, from what I can ascertain. There will be in the near future, however. What this means, is that you will have to find a way to meet the requirements to set up your billing account/payment method if you wish to start playing immediately.

I guess my debit card is no longer valid. I used it once to pay for the game but now that there isn't enough money on it for a second month it isn't valid.

This practice is punishing people who live paycheck to paycheck. I don't believe they are intentionally hurting consumers, but that is the end result of these policies.

Not only that, it punishes players that do not have bank accounts or credit cards or those that do not want to link their personal finances to an online game for security purposes. And then there's people like me that are in transition between banks,

I had my credit cards cancelled and my bank account closed out while I get everything transferred over to a credit union, so my paypal is unlinked as well. I ordered a time card through amazon expecting it to be here in around launch, turns out it won't be available until the end of the month if not longer.

Amazon actually refunded me the shipping cost, and upgraded it to the fastest shipping(when they'll actually get them) and took off 5 dollars from my initial purchase. So I paid $24.99 for the card. Not that it does me any good until CS decides to do something for me.

jugheads saying I told you so: I have never had to lay down a credit card to play an MMO. If I stay interested in a game - I use time cards. No database is safe or secure and just about all of them have been hacked. Up till a few years ago - the standard physical copies came with an AUTOMATIC 30 days applied to an account. Even with the digital downloads now - the initial purchases have no requirements. I've played them all. This is the first magnitude of ridickulon I have ever experienced. And I used to get on SOE's back all the time about unprofessionalism. SOE are Harvard grads compared to this circus.

When I pre-ordered this game I made a point of asking if it came with any time, and I was told 30 days worth of free play. Then they gave me a little box that did not include the warning about requiring a valid payment method. That was only on the box for the full game.

People's opinions will vary as to whether or not this is deceptive, but it is yet another reason to balk at buying this product. I know I am not happy and will be warning my friends who are contemplating getting this game about it.

It says free 30 days only with a subscription plan in place. It doesnt say you get free 30 days to register your payment info. If you have no credit card go buy a prepaid one. Simple.

The only thing simple here is you. How dense can you possibly be? It says you MUST setup a sub to get the free 30 days. You are NOT required to spend a DIME. Just put in the info.
