We should have been stopped playing at 8am this morning, so consider yourself lucky to have been able to play this long. I'm not getting my game till late tomorow from amazon either sense they F'd things up, but you don't hear me crying like a child about it.

Im actually getting ready to go on a family picnic sense it is so nice out, i think fresh air would do you some good as well.

This is NOT Zenimax's fault but rather Amazon for their crapping shipping system. Yet another reason to only order digital.

Actually, unless Amazon had an engagement with Zenimax that there was only a strict, limited run of the IE edition (e.g., only 10,000 available), it was just doing what happens in normal supply chain. It continued to accumulate orders and, if the supply and distribution chain between them is set up this way, should have been communicating those orders to Zenimax. It's up to the manufacturer to then schedule additional production runs to meet the demand. Looks like the breakdown was between Amazon and Zenimax, where Amazon didn't get the news in time that no more than x shippers of ESO were on their way to the warehouses (hence, no one got an early heads-up on copies being backordered).

There's probably a quagmire behind the scenes. If Zenimax's digital media pressing suppliers, cartoners, shippers, etc. have already filled their production schedules for Q1-Q2 2014, Zenimax may have been in a real pickle trying to get additional production run windows. They can't bump others ahead of them in the queue -- in other words, if Blizzard were sharing the same suppliers and had booked March for runs of WoW, Zenimax would be stuck getting in line behind them. There's simply too much tooling switch-over on the manufacturing lines and "raw material" (e.g., raw unscored and uncut cardstock for cartons, unburned discs, shrinkwrap rolls, etc.) ordering in queue for them to change with the wind.
