Latency Issue

I am playing in EU server, and I live in US. As far as I know both servers are located in US as if right now, so I should not have lag besides the regular lag that everyone gets because the game is new and hundreds of people are logging in.
When I logged in PvP, people starts moving around very weirdly, like I cant tell my latency is very high. I CAN NOT SEE my latency ? where is it?
Should I try to level in US server and see if that works better?
