Shadow World quest leaving a blue tint?

sbixler96_ESO
So, I picked up a quest in Greenshade (AD) at Verrant Morass that brought me into a "shadow world", but when I got out of it and completed the quest, it left my screen tinted blue. Even though I've finished the quest, everything in game barring the interface is tinted blue. Anyone else having this issue? Is there any way to fix it? I updated my drivers, restarted the game multiple times, reloaded multiple times, restarted my computer multiples times, nothing has worked.

I have this bug as well... i just completed that quest on the 7th of april at 4pm Australian AEST.... anyone figured out a fix for it?
  • sbixler96_ESO
Well I got an e-mail back from ZOS about it and apparently they're fixing it in their next patch. I got it off of me by joining into the City of Ash dungeon, I don't know why that fixed it.

Think I have this same problem but from a dungeon on auridon. No response from support yet (do they even exist?)

    I managed to fix this.

    C:\Users\"user name"\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu
find a file named UserSettings.txt and open with notepad

in there you will find the following line

    SET COLOR_CORRECTION "1"

    change it to

    SET COLOR_CORRECTION "0"

    save and exit.

restart the game and you will see the sun again and all the mist is gone :)

Didn't work for me, but thanks for the find.

This did work for me, but I found two directories in 'Documents\Elder Scrolls Online': 'live' and 'ESO_BUILD_BRANCH'. Changing it in 'live' didn't do anything, but changing it in the other directory did.

I experienced the same bug in the same quest and setting the color correction to 0 worked for me, thank you :)

Even though this is a fix, I am not sure this is the way to go. it's a workaround yes, but we are turning the color correction off. I am not sure how much that effects the game experience but I recommend you turn it back to "1" and give it a try when next patch is published to see if this has been fixed.

Friend of mine has this right now and has turned color correction "off".
    Someone managed to fix that?

The above solution worked for me also.
Setting SET COLOR_CORRECTION "0" fixed the problem after that quest.

    Thanks Hamrammur

Brilliant! Thank-you very much, I can actually see what I'm doing now.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

The way I fixed it was go to the Auridon ruins of Ezduiin and touch a ghost who put me into dream state with the blue tint, I then died in there and upon resurrecting at the start of the ruins dungeon, ported out to another zone (map/town etc) which actually kept the dark blue tint on me, then went back to the ruins of Ezduiin and touched the "return to the real world" orb/portal in there and then walked out of the dungeon and it had fixed it.

    Hope that helps someone else.

Jamsin, you are the winner. I turned color correction back on, went into the dungeon, used the portal near the entrance and everything is back to normal. Thanks!

I haven't seen it mentioned, so I figured I'd mention it, has anyone tried the /reloadui command. It might not work, but it has often worked for me in situations where my visuals have gotten wonky.

Well I've tried every fix in the forums and nothing.

I haven't try to turn off the COLOR_CORRECTION but that's not a fix right?

Well right now I'm still waiting for support to do something. They ask me for a time in which I would be playing the game so they can coordinate with game master about the solution. Not sure what that could mean, but I hope they solve this soon. It sucks to play this way.

Btw did you change back the COLOR_CORRECTION back to "1" after your fix??? I want to know if the problem were still there after switching it back.

I changed COLOR_CORRECTION back to "1" before I went into the dungeon and used the portal.

    Ok I'm gonna try this.

    So
    1)Change COLOR_CORRECTION "0"
2)Get in the game and everything back to normal, although a little brighter.
    3)Change COLOR_CORRECTION "1"
4)Go to Ezduiin, pinch the ghost, get killed, revived and problem fixed.

    Right??

Pd: COLOR_CORRECTION thing didn't worked for me
