So I have barely used my Tome Points and I'm wondering since it's 3 days left. Will I keep my Points for next Tamriel Tomes or will they dissappear? If so should I use up all my points or only pick what I really want and save the rest for next Tamriel Tomes?

In short:
- only 2K points will be caried over to the next season.
- The points over 2K will be used to autoclaim the rewards that you did not pick. Some items will be exempt from auto claiming, but I do not remember what they are.
- Any leftover points will be lost. EDIT: they will be lost in a sense that you cannot claim anything with them. ACTUALLY, the leftover will be converted to gold at a ratio 1 point = 10 gold. Thanks to the posters that reminded me of that.

So, I would recommend claiming all the rewards that you want before the season ends.

I thought I'd heard that any left over points (beyond auto-claim and 2k carry-over) would be converted to gold?

They are "lost" in terms of carrying over to next season, but for what it's worth they do convert to gold so you get *something* for them at least. iirc, the payout is 10 gold per tome point? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm remembering the details incorrectly.

To clarify/reiterate:

* 2k Tome Points will carry over from one Season to the next
* If you have more than 2k Points, the auto-claimer will automatically purchase any Currencies and Collectibles you didn't buy
-The claimer will NOT purchase Consumables such as Potions or Food, will not purchase Furniture (both single items and bundles), and will not purchase the various Boxes like the Riding Lessons + Wayshrine Navigation Chart one or the one with the random Nirnhoned items
* If you have Points left over after the claimer has purchased everything it can, all those excess Points will be converted to Gold at a rate of 10:1. An example is if you have 2k Points left after everything, you'd get 20k Gold.

I've already gotten all reward, but still remain 5K tome point.
Can I use it in next season, or it just remain as useless currency?

As explained above, only 2K of tome points will be transferred to the next season. The rest of it will be turned into gold if there is no rewards for the system to grab.

I wonder if anyone knows what happens with challenges when the season ends? Will our old ones still roll over? If so, what about the double completions if you have the bonus pages unlocked? Will they all still be available or go back to the regular amounts? If I leave finishing them will I be able to get extra points when season 1 starts or will they be lost?

I'm very short of gold on PC where I only have 1 character and more limited play time, so if they'll disappear I'd rather complete them for the extra. Havent seen anything about this anywhere tho

Agreed. Hopefully they can get that better aligned for the next one.

I am going to loose a lot of time points, I have everything claimed on all 12 pages. I wasn't sure what the cap challenges we could keep or if they stayed as the new season went live so I kept doing all the challenges I had except the ones I got today.

Total points I have right now. 23,701.

Only 2000 will be kept on new season starting in 17 hours.

Total point lost
21,701

This hurts me a lot, all the challenges I did to prepare for a carryover for next season was all for nothing in the end.

Well you do get 217010 gold for those points. Its not much , but its not nothing.

It will be converted to a nominal amount of gold: 217,010

ZOS acknowledged that the initial 2k carryover notice was not as well publicized as it should have been when the Tome debuted. That’s why they offered to repackage points back into spent caches until late April.

During the first week of the Tome they did a better job getting us information on the Tome Point structure and the changes they would make in response to player feedback, such as here: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/69721

That was posted on April 10, so just over one week into the Tome. It reiterated the carryover cap and outlined the autoclaimer process.

I wish they had kept it pinned here on the forums for better circulation.

The challenges themselves not carrying over was only confirmed last week, as far as I’m aware, but the 2k cap for carryover points was confirmed quite early on.

I am REALLY hoping that when the PTS hits later this month, we see changes to how Tomes work in regards to Points and Challenges. Specifically the ability to repeatedly purchase things if we don't care about Gold and the ability to opt out of the auto-claimer. I'd also love to see the ability to remove unwanted Challenges every week so our rerolls don't get eaten by rolling into the same thing we're rerolling to begin with, but I'm not really sure if there's been enough time for something like that to be programmed, if it's something they'd even be willing to consider (I suppose the point about considering it could be said for the other two things as well though).
