Agree, there are 2 npc next to a crafting station. Every minute or so they restart they same conversation with each other. Something about houses build out of mudcrabs. Kinda funny first time but after spending 20 min crafting and hearing them in the background it's not so funny anymore.

There is a couple in elden root arguing over a quest i finished involving sheogorath and man does it get annoying, and its so loud. No matter what part of the area I'm in it sound like I'm standing right next to the two.

I like crafting there, because every station is in the one room but i started just going somewhere else.

I hate that banker that comes out with the same stupid line about lender etc
So yes, I think it is a problem.
But this game has soooooooo many whipping boys, they love everything about the game!

I would be ok for NPCs saying the same thing over and over... well not ones you have to engage with ALL the time... but dont have them speak with every encounter if they only have one line...

If the Daggerfall banker had 50 lines, I would be ok... but if I have to hear Neither a Lender or Borrower be, that's redicu...

I am going to murder someone...

    I couldn't agree more.

The repetitiveness is tiring. Just shut them up or give them many more lines!

I somewhat agree (and LOLed) but doesn't bother me that much. However, if they have like 10 different lines for them to randomly select each time you intereact with them, that would make it a MUCH more pleasant experience

I wonder if I murder the banker in daggerfall that I might get a piece of paper with a black hand on it.....

I hate that woman complaining about the dog following her. It's right beside the blacksmith shop so you have to hear it over and over.

I'd rather have a world with NPCs who talk to me and to each other than have a world that feels dead, with NPCs who just stand there like mannequins. It would be nice to have a bit more variety in the database of possible speeches for the various NPCs, randomly chosen each time you trigger it.

It never bothers me, I'm happy they talk and aren't just lifelessly standing around like morons. As for the repeating themselves, it's no more aggravating than hearing the players do the same thing in forums and zone chat.

If you guys are willing to give zeni the money for even more voice acting and more downtime for re-coding the npc's conversation ai..feel free. They still haven't recouped the money they sunk into the creation of the game. I think they have things to fix/change, higher on the priority list.

I don't really have this problem because I'm really good at tuning voices out (especially in real life and unintentionally). When I'm focusing on the task at hand, such as managing my inventory at the bank, my brain drowns out the NPC's speech into near nothingness. I just quickly click through the dialogue and get to business. The first time or two I paid attention, but after that I just tune it out.

Every time this thread gets to the bottom of page two, I think, "Yes, finally, this unbelievably banal topic can finally be put to rest..." then someone bumps it. Of all the things to complain about, this is just absurd.

I've taken to muting my sound before using that banker. Some other npcs get on my nerves too if I have to interact with them a lot. I sell all my stuff to the same vendor usually, and his line is wearing thin by now too.

It's really a shame because other than that I think the sounds in this game have been a high point so far. I like that npcs are voice acted as it adds to the ambiance of the game. They just need to put in some anti annoyance features to npcs you interact with all the time like the bankers.

Users don't report problems or things they perceive as problems based on how high a priority they think the coders will make it. They report problems as they encounter them. This is as it should be. It's the coders' job to determine priority on fixes. We don't need to take that into account when bringing up something we'd like fixed.

This isn't "broken." It is people not liking dialogue.

It wouldn't be half so bad if you could switch between your bank and the guild bank. But yeah. Very grating. Seems like DC has more than their fair share of this.

Easy and cheap fix could be just adding some kind of timer between dialogs. Just put a 5 min cooldown on each dialog. So if you spam bank 10 times in 5 min it will still only say it once. But I agree there are a lot more important things that need fixing.

We wouldn't get the opportunity for you to act superior and claim it is not an issue because you don't think it's one. Is it a game stopping issue? Nope. It is just an irritant having a voiced character say the same dialog over and over. What is banal and absurd is to attack something simply because it is not a problem for you.

I don't have a problem with Angier Stower saying the same thing every single time I talk to her.

What I do have a problem with is that she misquotes Shakespeare, because Shakespeare used the correct grammar. It's "neither a borrower NOR a lender be," dammit!

So glad other people have the same issue. It's not just me. All bankers do this everywhere. One line only with no variety and having to hear it 100 times a day is getting really irritating. Please Zenimax put a gag in their mouths.

I have one character for each craft and have to do a lot of inventory/bank management. Iam not a pvper, but this is making me feel I wish I could rush in with an opposing faction and cause the bankers demise. Have the banker say it once or rather them say nothing at all.

The Daggerfall banker is unquestionably the most annoying NPC I've encountered. That line about borrowers and lenders is so annoying that it is to the point that it breaks my train of thought when I am doing multiple banking transactions at once. If it doesn't bother you, lucky you, but I have a lot of trouble simply tuning it out.

The greetings is ok and pretty funny, also pretty realistic, clerks use canned greetings in RL too.
More an problem is npc talking to each other and saying the same over and over all the time, this is a very regional problem, as in just affect a few locations where you are likely to spend lots of time.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
