My screen does black

Hi,
I've just begun my adventure in ESO, and have already experienced one BIG technical issue. Every once in a (short) while my screen turns completely black. I can still hear music, though. No clicking mouse or buttons seems to help, and if I click ESC I can see the white cursor, but the remaining of the screen is still black.

Any ideas?

What's your gfx card, OS and some other specs would help loads.

Btw. please answer in "for dummies mode", ok? I'm not great with computers!

I can't see anything obvious and you meet the requirements. Have you tried playing at a lower gfx setting just to see if it goes away. Also check your nvidia settings. Right click desktop and select nvidia control panel. Reset your settings back to default. It could be that you are forcing something via nvidia that the game doesn't like.

After that. I would try resetting ESOs settings back to defaults. After that I would do a clean boot using MSconfig (look for a guide on Google). After that I would do a clean install of your gfx card drivers and again, look for a guide on YouTube or Google.

I'll try, thank you. Although now I'm thinking it might be some connection/performance issue. I've managed a decent hour uninterrupted gameplay, and then got kicked out when trying to level up. Never mind though, I'll do what you suggest.

Ok, silly question. How do I reset NVIDIA settings?

To solve the black-screen bug, I highly recommend upgrading your GFX card drivers to current release.

That solved the black-screen issues for me, especially with vendors and crafting stations.

It also should reset NVIDIA settings
