Mouse cursor appearing randomly in game

Hello.

This new "feature" really ruins my game experience recently.
It was a bug that somehow survived the beta test, and now it's back.

What it does:
You play like you would normally, and you attack stuff and loot creatures right?

Well, this bug makes your mouse cursor come up after you have looted/interacted, so you have to mash the keyboard to make it go away and back to the crossair again.

Did I forget to mention that you can't use any of your abilites while the mouse cursor is up?

It comes up randomly, but I CAN make it go away for a whooping 2 minutes while pressing punctation key, but I don't really want to do that for god how long Zenimax fixes this issue.

I got this bug too, it's very annoying. Whenever I close the map the cursor stays if I'm affected at that moment. Then I will have to press the "." key to get the crosshairs back (which happens instantly for me though). I noticed the bug is triggered after talking to an NPC too.

It could happend by reflex.

No, the cursor just stays when I press M to close the map.

When you click loot you get a window appear containing the loot and the mouse cursor so you can mouse over it and see what it is or select which piece of loot you want to take.

This is working as intended. The problem you describe occurs when you mistime fast actions. 'Loot - Loot all - Move cursor to change direction' becomes 'Loot - Move cursor to change direction while loot cursor is up - Loot all.

Happens to me when I'm rushing but I'm the problem. It's not a bug.

It's not like that.

When I've looted EVERYTHING, and close the loot window, the cursor stays up until I press the punctation key again.
It's really annoying since I can't use any skills while it's up.

It is a bug. It happens to me as well, not when going clickity super fast but after playing for a while whenever ANYTHING accesses an overlay (including quest items, interface panels, etc.) and sometimes even things that do not such as going through a door or getting on a horse. At times it just pops up randomly, and no I didn't click the . accidentally with the hand that's on the opposite side of the keyboard.

It is absolutely a bug. Has happened to me a few times. Usually resetting the ui helps. But sometimes I just relog.

Question to Devs.
When are you planning to fix this?
I have it happen to me very often.
So far the only 'sort of workaround' I made was moving the keybind to some more accessible place on keyboard.
It still pisses me off, its small but very annoying bug.

i turn off now the addon lootdrop, and will observe if it happend again...

Apparently it is caused by using the "Buy Multiple" option at vendors. After that, it's bugged permanently until restarting entire client.

So I had this problem 9 months ago and could not find what was causing it. Just started playing again a few days ago and since yesterday I got this same problem again.
After reading this possible cause I thought: hey I did start buying multiple items from vendor when this problem started again!

Not buying multiple seems to fix it!! It is convenient to buy multiple, but not worth the bug!

I have that bug, i dont use any addons, not even download one! The bug seems coming when i loot a couple of times in pvp area, when i use map often during 1 hour or more playing in Cyrodiil, maybe is lag related and only fix it when i re-log. Once the mouse cursor start appear only pressing "." can remove it and doing this after every painel you open is impossible to play like that, since using map for exemple is a repetive action to do in Cyrodiil.

There is no way that I am accidentally hitting the period button and this happens to me periodically too. Once it starts it happens every time I go back into the menu and the cursor get's stuck when I go back to the game.

This is happening to me everytime I am feared by NB's atm. Cursor appears, takes me "out" of my targeting reticle and I cannot do anything.

I've been able to fix it by click on the chat, on the first name that appear, one it's like the other, and then by typing
/resetui

the main problem of this bug is that you have the mouse cursor, but if you click on the chat to write you can't, but if you click on a character name, chat will go in Whisper Mode, so you'll be able to type, then use command. "/resetui"
