Game crashes while trying to enter Hotspur

While working on the opening assassins quest in Daggerfall, I am at the point where I am searching for the assassins on the ships at the docks. While trying to enter the hotspur, the game crashed. Now it crashes every time I try to load back into the game. Is this a known bug, and is there any way for me to get back in? Thanks.
