This is the official feedback thread for Player Experience Improvements coming in Update 50. We have a list of improvements coming to reduce player friction when playing ESO.
That list includes the following:
  • Guild Mail
  • Path to Adventure, a Golden Pursuit for new players or returning players under Level 20, similar to Hero’s Return.
  • Transmute Stations “Everywhere”
    • Elden Root
    • Stormhaven
    • Mournhold
    • Leyawiin
    • Wrothgar
    • Skingrad
    • Vivec City
    • Necrom
    • Alinor
    • Rimmen
    • Gonfalon Bay
    • Eyevea
  • Exemplary Items Deconstruction
  • Companion XP Rate Gain Improvement
  • Vamp/Werewolf VO & Quest Improvements
  • Motif Sourcing Visibility Improvements
  • Increased Daily Quest Limit from 50 (to 100)
  • Fixed Character Screen to say ‘Log Out’ instead of “Back”
  • AFK Timer in Character Create increased to 15 Minutes

The team is looking for feedback on the following:
  • Do you notice and feel positively impacted by the Player Experience Improvements?
  • Are there any smaller pieces of feedback on any of the changes? We are looking for things that we could reasonably fix within the PTS cycle? Bigger fixes or other improvements not listed above will be looked into for future updates.
  • Any other points of feedback?

Specifically for Path to Adventure:
  • Is this confusing?
  • Where are the places the player doesn’t know what to do? Looking at the overall flow of the campaign for places to improve/clarify.

Add transmute station to both Cyrodiil and Imperial City.

While you're at it, add outfit station to those two zones too.

Scribing - the descriptions are not always crystal clear on whether an affect applies to self, group or allies, area. Go through all script descriptions and add wording similar to sets for group, ally, you or self. Currently, you have to decipher ambiguous text or review logs to see what got applied to learn what its doing.

How is the color for guild mail determined? There was no option to set it. I didn't check at the time whether it looked at your chat settings for that guild, but that doesn't seem like a smart option either. And if multiple people get permission to send guild mail, is the color of the guild the same across all accounts with permission? Many guilds would rather set their own color for branding purposes than to have that determined for them.

Console player so no real feedback due to no PTS but Motif Sourcing sounds great. Would be nice if you could add this to food and furnishing plans in the future as well.

    Stay safe :)

Created a new character to test with. the creation went well but the drop did not. I was set into the thief quest zone and received this message of error.

Speaking strictly to deconning Exemplary items, it appears to work as intended. Jewelry items dropped the "pulverized" trait mats at roughly the expected rate (accompanied by appropriate grumbling that this did not get reworked in U40 like platings did). I only had one Exemplary gear piece (Nirnhoned) and did not get back a trait mat, but probably RNG rather than something else.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

For trophy hunters on specifically PlayStation can we not have a trophy locked behind pvp as well as the associated outfit as in emperor. Not every player has the time or in some cases the faction support to get the title outfit and trophy associated with becoming emperor in cyrodil. Perhaps have the title outfit and trophy tied to the questline of the 5 companions.

The "A World To Explore" Golden Pursuits tasks for completing any Mages or Fighters Guild quests give the wrong citations. Mages Guild one gives the Fighters Guild citation and vice-versa.

Visting the starter cities in the same Golden Pursuits campaign also doesn't appear to progress.

Posting the Infinite Archive and Imperial City Weekly Vendor updates.

Also trying out new Main Quests, Companions, ToT decks, Events and Styles on PTS.

Not sure if this is something added to the game or if it's an addon, but I was today years old when I noticed that the current time is displayed in the upper left of the map screen. It's a little visually cluttered (zone name, time, and ESO Plus medallion all together), but I like it.

Jury is still out on the map interface itself. On the one hand, it's much more compact instead of being a long list with a scrollbar to see anything below Southern Elsweyr when first opened. Typeface is clear and very readable. All in all it looks nice and I'll just have to get used to having to scroll to go do a Dragonguard daily where I used to just map>click>go.

Below is the map of Aldcroft in Glenumbra. The red dot is where Leane Luseph is standing. She is a new NPC with Update 49 who sends players to the Shrine of Hircine for the Werewolf bite/skill/quest. Not a big deal in and of itself and probably better than players wandering the wilderness hoping to stumble onto it. The issue is her dialogue which plays at the yellow dots, but her quest marker is not visible at that distance. In the case of the character who discovered this, she doesn't even have a quest marker (talked to her a couple of days ago, but did not accept the mission to get bit), but her "come talk to me" dialogue plays every time that perimeter is crossed. If a fix for this can be bundled in with U50, that would be great.

I am not sure that this is the right thread to post it, but I can't find a specific thread for the Glenumbra zone improvements.
I like the new manor house in Daggerfall City, but I was frankly hoping for just a bit more residential housing along the harbor area and maybe the cathedral area. Daggerfall is one of the cities that feels very empty, because the generic main buildings (guild + crafting) are right at the center and everything is stretched out. It still lacks a bit the feeling of a bustling trade hub. Evermore for instance manages to feel much more coherent on a smaller frame.

It could maybe benefit most from some type "bunkhouse" building, like in Riften in TESV:Skyrim. Places that hold many beds suggest more residents, and thereby make the city feel larger. Especially lower class housing for guards, servants, and entourage is missing.

This could be achieved by mashing-up various existing models externally. Internally it could be comprised of sub-instanced rooms, like in Vivec.

Hero's return needs a way to supress the pop-up. While players might rightfully want to know about it, it may not be something they want to be reminded of after every loading screen.

Don't all chapter capitals get the new Transmute Station treatment? Solitude is missing. Also, I would add Belkarth to the mix. It is still a big player hub. Personally I never go to Eyevea for anything, so it seems like kind of a waste and better put in Belkarth.
