UserID Change

How long am I supposed to wait for the UserID change I requested 2 days ago? No response since a automated reply saying: "Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team. The Elder Scrolls Online is now live and your issue may now be resolved."

I replied stating my issue was not resolved, per directed by the email, and no response. Further note, how does the game going live have ANYTHING to do with my UserID?

Second: TELL US the userid is going to be publicly used before we make it! I wouldn't be in this situation had I known that!

Hell I contacted them a week ago. Took 24 hours to get a reply and verify my account. I was told that it was going to be passed on for processing. Since then nothing.

From what I can gather, forum handles can be changed by contacting a forum mod by pm. Do a search on change forum name. We are talking about the in game user handle ex. @UserID

I put in 3 requests at various times (a couple days a part). Just put one in right after I wrote the first post, and got a quick response to verify my ID. Shortly after that, my 1st or 2nd ticket was responded to, and my ID has been changed.

I guess just hassle them? I normally don't like clogging up a ticket queue.

Edit: Nevermind. My login was changed, but my ingame userID is still reporting the old one. I relogged to check. I'll give it a day, I guess.

After a UserID has been changed by the support team, it can sometimes take a few hours before it will update properly in game. We recommend giving it 24 hours and if it's still showing the old ID, to reply back here or to support letting us know.

Ah, thank you very much for that information! I appreciate you letting me know.

Was the problem a matter of you not liking the @name or because it corresponded with something else as well? For example should it be different to your account name?

The fact that the userID IS the account name is an entirely different post (rant) altogether, that I'm not doing.
The issue was I wanted an ID that showed who I was, rather than a generic login that was chosen for organizational purposes (keeping track of various game logins, etc).
Had I known it would be used to communicate with near everything in game, I initially would have chosen something both more personally identifiable and more friendly to roleplayers. While I myself am not an RP'r, I can't imagine talking to someone whose name is random characters and numbers is very "immersive"--the excuse we're given for every basic MMO option we lack, like togglable nameplates (not trying to stir up another debate on that, just using as an example).

In other news, my UserID has completed being fully changed over in game! Thanks!

I did my request (# 140331-004926) one week ago... it has been acknowledged and transferred to the relevant team for processing....... no news from last Monday.

Mine was very quick but it was done in the week prior to early access starting.

To be fair to them, a new launch with a player base this size, they will be overwhelmed with support requests and while I fully understand how important this is to you, if I was in charge of support, I would want my staff to concentrate on sorting out those who can't play the game first, and get to the stuff like name changes later.

I do appreciate that those people who used personal info in their user ids (never ever a sensible thing to do) probably want to change before they play.
