So I finally installed game after it insisting on re-downloading everything, and after 1st cgi clip the loading screen just goes on forever.... I gave it 10 mins just to make sure the 2nd time... so yeah wtf.

    Same thing has been going on for me. it starts updating now and then, but the bar never moves.

    Greetings everyone,

    The loading screen getting stuck trying to reach the log-in prompt means something is stopping the game from loading or there may be some corrupted files preventing the game from launching.

    Please try running a repair first to see if any files have issues.
    • First, start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher by right clicking on the icon on your desktop. In the menu choose "run as administrator."
    • Click on Game Option on top of the News section, and click on the option for Repair.
    • Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. This will take some time.
    • If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files.

    After the repair finishes up, you will want to restart your computer. Once the PC is booted back up, right click the ESO launcher and choose "run as administrator." Launch the game and see if you can proceed past the first cinematic. Please let us know if this helps get past the loading screen.
