Subscription Charged Already

CaptainFantastic
Why is the game forcing me to enter my CC info just to even try my 30 days free access with buying the game, and WHY WAS I ALREADY CHARGED 14.99 FOR MY ESO SUBSCRIPTION? That's some seriously fraudulent behavior ZOS. Very sketch.

So I missed a sticky, my bad. But this is seriously one of the most sketchy things I've ever seen done by a game. Like, in what world is it ok for them to CHARGE me for services I'm not using, 30 days in advance? They took the money from my bank account, 30 days before it ever should have been. This is NOT an okay business practice. Like, legal suits could easily be filed over this kind of practice.

Every service that gives a free subscription requires a credit card up front.

Many services charge the credit card in advance as an "authorization," and then the charge is dropped. You won't actually be charged until the 30 days are over.\

It's not fraud. It's called the real world.

Yeah, the charge is just an "authorization". This verifies the card exists and is current and working. The problem stems from the amount this "check" performs, which could be lowered to a dollar or even a penny, depending on the vendor they are using.

PayPal DEPOSITS .02 into your account to verify it.

True, but so? 15$ is a huge burden? The sticky also says if you don't have the funds, they will work with you. But honestly, if you don't have 15$, why are you buying an expensive subscription game?
