Skeleton polymorph with shoulder and chest plates?

I've seen a tank in pvp with what looks like the basic skeleton polymorph but it has armour on it's chest and shoulders. I can't find anything about this except someone seeing the same thing from like 8 years ago.

It's not that one, It literally looks like the normal skeleton but with what looks like an iron chest plate and shoulders the rest of the body is just bones.If I see the guy again I'll take a screenshot because I've seen him twice now.

Is it the skeleton the player transforms into when the Pirate Skeleton set procs? The UESP page doesn't show the proc effect though.

edit: this would also check out considering this (at least back in the day) is a PVP set, and you keep seeing this guy in PVP

Could be from drinking the Witches Brew Memento from during the Halloween event and the player just hadn't logged in since that time so the buff stayed while logged out.

I would like it if the original skeleton polymorph follows the player's race's skeleton (Khajiit uses Khajiit skeleton, etc.) without using Cadaverous Assassin. Can't be that hard to implement, yes?

Noooooo!

Your character's size determines the size of the hitbox. Due to the problematic nature of having a pinky toenail in an AoE with a larger character, the Skeleton and Cadaverous Assassin provide smaller frames, and so smaller hitboxes. They are needed as is for some HMs and Trifectas.

ty so much, been trying to figure this out for a long time. He must be using the skeleton poly and when the monster set procs it gives him that armour, tyty

That’s strange, could it be the Draugrkin Polymorph? Or was it something like this?
