If we Uninstall then Reinstall do we need to redo all our Settings?

You really aren't taking up my time. I love playing with code. And honestly it's like a few minutes.

I've uploaded a version 2.0.0 - it should be approved soon. It now compares your current binds to the base ones. So it will output all the differences into the chat window. If you reset your binds to default before installing it, it will avoid showing them in the output and giving you a heap of clutter to feed back - it should just show the offending bind. It might even show a few lines as the visible binds also have hidden binds in other categories.

Depending on the output I may be able to give you a code line to fix it, but no guarantees depending on if it is rebindable it might be something ZOS have to fix.

I installed it and even though I reset my binds before installing it, I still got a very large amount of text, literally pages that would take a very long time to screenshot all of it.

Hmmm, now I am intrigued. Wondering if the default binds are different on NA to EU. WIll ponder on it.

That is a good question. Would it be though, since both are on PC?

I found something! I was reading them one by one and found this. I will look to see if there are more. It's the Layer 2 entry and says it is hidden and not rebindable.

Did you say you don't have any other addons installed?

I do have other addons. I disabled them when I was trying to reset this to 0 but I activated them again. Should I disable them all again then retry this?

I did disable them and reloaded the ui and I get a lot less messages in the chat tab, but none of them say they are hidden.

The last binding wouldn't fit on the same screen but that is all of them.

I guess Extended Journal Settings was needed for the Character Knowledge add-on, but isn't any longer so I can remove it. But that didn't get rid of the phantom binding either.

Ok. Going to just clarify. With your addons uninstalled - except mine - and your defaults reset: Are you still showing 8 custom binds and getting that list?

With the addons (except mine) disabled. And after doing resetting the defaults, just do one more reloadui for me please, and see if there is still no output. Just want to check before I give you the bad news.

Dang. So your addons disabled. Your keybinds reset. System still thinks you have 1. And my addon didn't output anything.

My addon compares your current bindings to the default bindings and then outputs the differences. If there is no output, then there are no differences. So it shouldn't be showing as 1.

That script I just gave is the function that calls into the C++ code and stored values database, it's also used to populate the UI where it says 1/100.

So, it sounds like that stored value is simply incorrect which means it's likely issue on ZOS' side.

As I said way back at the start, keybinds are stored server side, but if they are telling you to uninstall and re-install they may know something I don't or they could just be going through the motions.

Up to you if you want to try that, but sadly I've reached the end of my expertise on this and ZOS would need to address it.

Edit: If you ever do get it fixed, please come back and tell me. Would love to know what the solution was or how the problem came about.

It doesn't hurt anything other than my irritation on why can't I find it and why just that one character. You put so much time and effort into it and I can't even express how much I appreciate it. I wish there was some way I could return the favor!

I'm not going to uninstall and reinstall like they suggested, and if I ever do find a solution you will be the first to know!
