First off, I liked the simple presentation. One may compare this unfavourably against previous (big budget) cinematics, but the narrated letter is IMO interesting and prompts a connection of his Summerset story to the Worm Cult Part 2.

I do wish to mention that the narration speed feels improved if slowed to 0.85x instead of the current (original). Slowed down slightly, the delivery feels heavier, more thoughtful, and melancholic.

What were your thoughts on the video ?

This is amazing. Having Jon Curry read Darien's old letters has been on the Darien fandom wish list for a while, and it's such a great gift to those of us who have been crying over this man since Summerset.

It also got to me personally that the music they chose is the track from Auridon that was introduced with Summerset. I've always associated that wistful melody with Darien and I think of him every time I hear it.

My only complaint is how Darien tells us not to trust any of the Daedric Princes. They can't all be that bad.....

Prompts a connection? His story has been connected since the main story. This letter is from the Summerset storyline, can be found after finishing the story. It's weird they're just now doing a narration of it.

They just aren't following humane principles of morality and order, they just are what they are, that's making them unreliable at best, not inherently bad.

They don't recognise good and evil as concepts. They seek only to further their own influence by whatever means necessary. They are selfish and mortals are just tools in their ambitions.
