Party Members Vanish in Quest?

Hey, wife and I have run a few quests that we started at the same time, got it at the same time and then when we start the instance of the quest, again at the same time I see the arrow that shows where she is but she is not in the quest with me. Is this broke or deliberate. The latest quest to do this is the Anchor quest for the Fighters Guild at the end fight.

Certain quests are Solo Only. Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, and the Main Quest Line seem to be the main Solo-Only's at certain points.

The above is correct. If it happens when you are just in a regular zone it may be because you are in a different instance. In that case press P, right click on your wife and port to her. ( this may happen when you first form your group)

The answer has been given up there: some quests are solo-only.
Unlike most MMOs, this game doesn't want you to faceroll everything by grouping.
