Replicating the success of Corpseburster

Corpseburster is a good set. It does competitive damage in the right hands. It is not ubiquitous or cheesy. It rewards playing to the necromancer's theme.

We need more options like Corpseburster. This isn't necessarily limited to IA class sets, but they could be a good starting point. So, how do we replicate the success of Corpseburster? How can ZOS make their class sets perform and play similarly? What went right with Corpseburster that went wrong with almost all other class sets?

I feel that some Class Sets were designed around a proc idea first, then given the requirement to use abilities from that skill line to proc it. For instance, the Monolith of Storms set would be in this category, as the Storm Calling skill requirement feels arbitrary — it reads as a generic proc set if you ignore the specific proc condition it has.

Some Class Sets instead are thematic to the skill line, even if they don't explicitly require skills from that line to be slotted or used. The Pyrebrand set would fit in this category, as the Ardent Flame skill line is all about utilizing damage over time.

Macabre Vintage is pretty fun for overland, I am still disappointed about Plaguebreak though similar.

Most of the IA sets seem quite underwhelming for supposedly being a "class" set. It is probably another matter of the spreadsheets getting in the way of fun gameplay.

    Pure Class Set:
Having 3 of the same class skill lines equipped grants you “Meta” and will increase your stats to match WardSorcBlades. When attacked by a WardSorcBlade you immediately die though.
