I've tried that card game. Their in game tutorial tells you nothing.

So I checked the internet videos for " Beginners " and "First time players ". These clowns ALL are masters of the game so they assume there is so much terminology that everybody knows and understands that they just skip through things Fast - and it's a pointless waste of time. Must have tried a dozen or so before deciding that there just was no real benefit to the game anyway.

Probably one of the easiest parts of ESO to ignore.

People who have played other 'card' games (Hearthstone, TES: Legends etc) seem to 'click' with it quite readily.

People like myself who have not find it utterly mystifying.

Either way I too find it quite easy to ignore unless the devs go out of their way to make it impossible for me to ignore (Zerith-var's Favour is an example of this).

Oh I wish. Did both HS and Legends from time to time but this one is just... Not it. Not that's it's hard or easy, idk really it's just not good ultimately for many of us to even try to "decode". Was a last straw on an achievement hunting camel's back heh.

I used to play WoW and somehow in that game even big patches are released during 15-30 minutes shutdown in the night.

Why we have 8 hours maintenance for a tiny hotfix and during the day? I know there is night in NA but why do ZOS updates all regions (separate servers) using NA time?
I can't find any sane reasons for such a long maintenance. You had 10 years to improve your server side logic. As a software developer I can't find any excuses for this.

actually wish they would just do those updates ONCE when it's night in the EU, so it doesn't always affect us.
it's only up at 5pm, and that's the whole day I've lost :)
    just not very cool

Agree. If you have separate servers for EU and NA it's obvious decision to provide updates/hotfixes in different time more suitable to the server time zone.
It's obvious if you respect your playerbase and their time, seems it's not the case with ESO.

It's just weird they have to completely pull the servers down to apply a bugfix in the first place, and 8 hours is bananas. That's the sort of thing you can test on different environments and then you upload it when necessary. I'm trying to imagine at work if every time they had to apply a bugfix the entire system would be offline for 8 hours, we'd get about 2 productive hours per week.

Didnt even know there was a leaderboard for ToT until this! But 8 hours downtime is insane..

I played Legends every day when it still existed, but I really don't enjoy ToT. Legends was very intuitive; with ToT, I didn't even know what I was doing at first and the in-game tutorial didn't help either. Generally, it's a completely different playstyle, and one I personally don't care for much.

Still, it's part of the game, some people are playing it, and if there's a bug, it should be fixed, or course. I'm just not sure why that takes 8 hours. And of course, one would wish that things were tested thoroughly before updates, so such bugs don't come up in the first place.

I see ZOS still don't show any regard for OCX and SEA players, 2 maintenances in 2 days at exactly the same time, OCX then SEA. 2 days lost but will we get any sort of recompense.

So we’re getting a huuuuuuge hotfix maintenance to fix Tales of Tribute - the card game played by about 0.01% of what’s left of our population, but nothing to fix the shopping list of bugs, errors, and nonsense from Writhing Wall and the last update?

    Diabolical!

I remember when eso was down for a week and a half and they refused to refund eso+ times...

Good thing I wasn't a subscriber at the time...

it just shows that they totally don't care about their users
and that's not the right way to go :)
But which online game today listens to what their user says hehe?

Is there a reason why it takes such a long time to apply 2 hotfixes?

I think we need a bonus 10% boost towards the Writhing Wall progress for our patience o:)

Edit: It's finished! I'd still love 10% progress boost though...
