A traditional misspelling of ‘spooky’, which is to say they spell it that way on purpose.

    Hi,

Might be good to confirm if the tickets are from any boss - or whether it's specific to a just world bosses, or delve bosses, etc.

    Thanks :)

Okay, so I just played the quest The Lord of Fear. I guess I overlooked it last year for some reason because I don't remember doing it. I have to say, I really enjoyed it! I liked the story, the lore, and the haunted house-like mini dungeons. The atmosphere was great, and I even enjoyed the boss battle with the crouch/scare crows mechanic. I know I'm a year late, but I wanted to say good job, ZOS!

The Lord of Fear ending in group events at a dungeon like location was an insult to those who have played for decades and prefer solo runs. The consistent pushing of group play and guilds has me questioning my loyalty for this brand. I am thinking I could do better in spending my game budget on a game that isn't ran by groupers.

I, personally, really enjoyed the solo part, and I found the group part fun the first time, just as it was something new - but the group part is what makes me not want to repeat it, because it turned out to be quite a hassle with random people who don't really know what's to do or what's going on. It's truly a pity since the first - and much longer - part of the quest is awesome. Guess I'll never see it again.

Perhaps their should have been a reward after the solo part so those that do not enjoy group chaos could feel accomplished for completing the feather collections and maybe the Lord of Fear part.
I avoided both but assisted my friend in get into a Pug. He did not enjoy the fight at all and the reward for him was too low. (He could have received better doing an undaunted dungeon.)

I enjoy the Witches Festival, lots of people running around as skeletons and the decorations are great! I do wish some of the styles and motifs would be retired to the grab bags though. The Dremora motif is quite nice but the market has been saturated with the pages for years now.

It can be done solo, its just a hard long fight and you need to survive the hunt phase.

Its best done in either a group of 2 or 3, or done in a group of 12.

Its also pretty standard for an MMO to have group content in it.

No, Lord of Fear cannot be done solo. I do get tired of hear this. Not all players have dungeon gear. Some, if not most, are playing with overland purple.

From my point of view, this quest starting with beautifully designed and elaborate solo content just to end with forced group content is bad design. I don't care whether this is "standard" or not.

Both Hallowjack and Crow Boss can be done solo in overland and/or crafted sets. Order's Wrath, Mother's Sorrow, Back Alley Gourmand, Spriggans, Briar Heart, Tideborn Wild Stalker, and if you have a companion, Shared Burden are all sets that can help you beat these fights and require no group play whatsoever. Speaking of companions, let your companion tank it to make things easier.

If you have any heavy attack build characters, I especially recommend bringing it to the Hallowjack fight because it will put in good damage even without resources. The totems can be a true pain if you don't have that. Still not impossible, simply much easier. You can source the empower buff from the mage's guild if you don't have access to Oakensoul.

    Edit:

Here's a crow video I did on a low power toon a 4 years ago. Perhaps someone else will show HJ on one.
