Did you buy the 2025 season pass?

I might buy it if it's on a deeper discount, but I also think I'd be okay never owning it at this point. I can really tell I'm not having fun with ESO right now because as soon as someone mentioned here in the forums that New World's old expansion was now free and that there was a new expansion, I hopped on there, and I'm having a ball. Not saying that either game is better than the other. But at the moment, I'm having way more fun with New World, and I feel like I haven't felt that sense of enjoyment or excitement when it comes to ESO in a while now. Which is big sad considering how much time and money I've invested into the game.

I haven't bought a chapter at full price only sales or giveaways for several chapters, and I ain't gonna do it for some pass that has even less content and more bad writing like previous latest chapters.
[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!

The game seems to be diminishing in quality. This years content reached a cut-off point for me.

From my perspective, the game reached a peak at Northern Elsweyr and has been heading downhill ever since. \

This new direction of pre-purchasing a years worth of content is not a direction I want to go.

Agreed, the quality has definitely declined since Elsweyr and I'm not inclined to support this season pass model either. I'd rather have a full-sized expansion every 1.5 - 2 years than this season pass nonsense.

And they need to hire more competent writers, the new(er) dialog is really hilariously bad and not remotely immersive for the most part.

Buying it was the only way to get access to the new trial.

It's nice that all 4 dungeons are included as well

I didn't buy it. I don't buy "season pass" for anything.
I've accepted the fact that my last chapter for ESO was Gold Road, and I'm content with that.

I pre-ordered the Standard Content Pass because I owned everything else, and wanted to support ZOS in their new direction.

As much as I love new regions of the map to be explored, ESO has been severely lacking in updates to it’s existing “systems” and 2025 was supposed to be the year where everything got proper support, but since the end of 2024, we haven’t seen any meaningful changes to our activities.

All of the in-game guilds have languished, and are in desperate need of something… and I’m not talking rewards. As great as it is to have awesome rewards for activities, the real reward has to BE the activity itself. If Heists, Sacraments, or Fighter’s/Mage’s guild dailies are dreadfully boring, we’re just going to hate ZOS while we’re farming them.

I just want to have fun playing the game, but nothing has changed in years.

I agree with you but minor correction they did tell us 2025 was a transition year ahead of time. It's 2026 that is supposed to be the big shift, iirc. I'm not optimistic about it after seeing the event, personally. So I share your feelings on the current way things are going. But I also think it's worth mentioning in all fairness that this warned ahead of time as a year of transition.

I still worried that will turn out to mean "we were already making a new zone and story so we released that instead of scrapping it, in future it will be a standard 'season pass' model with only tempoary additions to existing content".

same... the "transition year" excuse would have been more acceptable if they had not told us the same exact thing with gold road. they just didn't call it a transition year. and they certainly didn't charge more for it. but the same explanation was given. we just can't do the second zone this year. this is all we have. next year we'll do better...

I pre-ordered the standard edition for my main account, owning everything else the premium edition was just a waste of money for me.

Months later I got a standard edition for 40% off for my third account, and my second account got it when it was on special for this event.

I like Solstice and hopefully will like the second half, do not think much of their event, should just do away with the aggravating bug fest and give me what I paid for without all the hassle.

Weird set of choices, since it implies that you buying it means it was successful and completely discounts the people who bought it and were disappointed (which I believe is a large population).

But yes, I bought it. And yes, I'm wholly disappointed. And yes, because of how badly they fumbled this, I'm likely not going to buy the next one.*

This Pass was more expensive than Chapters, I was forced to buy the dungeons that I get through ESO+ anyway, and I got a zone that didn't exist in lore that reused a bunch of assets and just felt like everything was contrived to just make the story happen. The only thing this Pass offerred at the end of the day was endless FOMO, and that's not worth $50. Maybe worth the sale prices (or a free code from a streamer), but not a day-one price.

*ok, there is one thing that will get me to buy the next pass day one sight unseen: a new Class. But even then, that's including more stuff than this one, considering that 2025's brought no new features.

      This.

I won it in a giveaway. After playing it, I‘m glad that I didn‘t pay anything for it. I had some fun but it was so small and so little content that I wouldn‘t pay more than 15€ (maybe 20 with the dungeons) for it.

Besides the lack in quantity, I also see a huge lack in quality. There were and are so many bugs we are expected to pay for…

Additionally, the Sunport furnishings disappointed me although I was so looking forward to getting Alinor construction stuff. The wall elements don‘t match, the windows have far too deep frames that you can‘t place them into walls, and there are so many elements still missing (ceilings, railings, colonnades, towers,…).

      I‘m just overall disappointed.

I did, because questing is what I like to do, but bummed I now can't play with my husband because even though he has plus, doesn't have season content. I miss plus meaning having access to DLCs. :( Not buying two season contents.

ive always bought the deluxe editions for the extra collectibles (i dont do the full purchase, just the "account upgrade" so its cheaper and only comes with the new content)

solstice i think would have been fine as a zone if it was released all at once, this kind of gimmicky thing where its cut in half does make it feel a lot smaller than it likely will be once we get eastern solstice

the quest content quality was fine with me, i felt like it was interesting, as its kind of extending the main game story
though i did wish it had some kind of explanation for how mannimarco got free if you left him to rot in molag bals torture room during the main storyline

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I have 3 accounts. Usually I'll buy the annual chapter on all 3 of them, most often the collector's edition on my main account and the standard edition on my other 2 accounts. Depending on how interested I am in the year's chapter I may get it on the 2nd & 3rd accounts right away, or I may wait for it to go on sale. This year I got the standard edition season pass on my main account and nothing on my other 2 accounts, because I just didn't see the value in it. Now it's on sale and I still don't see any reason to get it on my 2nd & 3rd accounts. If this is the way things are going, next year will be the first year since launch (or since they started doing chapters, anyway) that I don't buy the chapter/season pass at all.

It seems to me, the better question would be "Will you buy the next season pass?" I have never been unhappy with a prepurchase in this game, until now. I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be better to look for a different game.
