Installing from disc problem -SOLVED

So I've recently bought a new computer. I have the client installed on my older machine but, obviously, wanted to put it on the new machine. I picked up my disc this morning, went through the install process, only to find out that once it's done it's now downloading the client AGAIN at the horrendously slow speeds I experienced downloading it in beta. Is this how it's supposed to work?
No, it's not updating, it says downloading. When I opened the client it stated that it was updating then went back to the downloading status.
