Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS v11.2.1! This week, we welcome New Life Festival back to the PTS rotation. Provide us with feedback on the new daily quests and rewards for this event. 

Most of this week’s updates provide fixes and adjustments to Eastern Solstice Content and the new Heart’s Day Week event. Thank you for providing feedback to improve this group of content for launch. In addition to those fixes, you will find adjustments made to the Vengenace Campaign and fixes to some housing content.  

You will also find a change made to the Necromance Class related to Bone Tyrant, in an effort to make the skill more performant.

    Event: New Life Festival
    As the year winds to a close, it’s time to bake some cookies, brew some cocoa, and cuddle up with a beloved pet for New Life Festival! The new look to chase this season is the Fish Boon Pioneer outfit, in keeping with the Argonian holiday tradition of the Fish Boon Feast. Some old rewards rotate into the New Life grab bag accordingly, though you can still potentially get Winter Storm Robes pieces and Morningstar Frostwear pieces if you’ve already found a Fish Boon Pioneer page that day.

    The final fragments of the Wildgrown Chapel of Julianos are also available on the Impresario, along with the bringback of all the year’s morphing collectible fragments.

    In addition, eight brand new daily quests are introduced for New Life Festival. You can acquire these quests from Anicus Novius at the New Life Festival tent, or directly from the individuals he sends you to. These new quests are:
    • Cold War: Deliver snowball justice to a handful of unlucky targets in Windhelm.
    • Food for New Life: Whip up some tasty meals for the esteemed elders of Auridon.
    • The Dragon’s Hoard: Steal treasure from a dragon* lurking in Reaper’s March.
    • The Hunt for Dakoi: Help an angler in Shadowfen track down a rare fish*.
    • The Mudman: The Wood Elves in Grahtwood have some strange traditions, don’t they? One might think they do it just to mess with outsiders.
    • Betnikh’s Boon: ORC SMASH!
    • The Judgment of Garth: The Rift threatens to be consumed by the hungry Lord of Bears. Can you placate the ornery ursine?
    • The Desert and the Sea: Bring seawater to the distant, landlocked tombs of the ancient Yokudans to bring their spirits peace.

    General
    • Having multiple instances of “Living Corpse” will now recognize each unique effect as a distinct corpse. This effect refers to affixes such as Beautiful Corpse from the Nobility in Decay set, which allow you to cast a corpse consuming effect on yourself.

    Classes
    Necromancer
    • Updated all Necromantic summon abilities (Sacrificial Bones, Spirit Mender, Skeletal Mage, and all related morphs) to properly interact with the pet limitation rules. These abilities should now actively flush out existing summons and corpses (granted the summons and corpses are sourced by replaceable creatures) rather than outright failing.
    • Bone Tyrant
      • Bone Armor: This ability and its morphs no longer summon a corpse when they end or their abilities are refreshed after 10 seconds. Instead, these abilities now grant you Living Corpse if cast while in combat, which allows you to cast a (singular) corpse consuming ability on yourself. This effect is applied instantly but has a 10 second cooldown to ensure the same corpse consuming ability cadence is met.

        [Developer Comment]
        In efforts to reduce the performance strain these abilities have, as well as a way to work around the pet and corpse limitation cap, we've reworked these abilities to utilize the same functionality as Nobility in Decay (one of the Necromancer's class sets) where you are treated as a corpse for a single corpse consuming ability. This effectively reaches the same outcome, where these abilities help Necromancers produce their own corpses, with some minor gameplay implications. By granting you the corpse immediately, we remove some of the higher demand strategy making with these abilities so you can get straight into reusing and recycling life as you see fit. Additionally, by no longer summoning an actual corpse, we free you from needing to remain nearby the corpse and even allow special interactions with tether abilities – all while also freeing the servers from needing to track a far more expensive entity and effects!

    Writhing Wall
    General
    • Fixed collision issues around Writhing Wall and Writhing Fortress entrance.
    • Address other minor bug fixes.

    Siege Camps
    • Adjusted bosses and mini-bosses to deal less damage.
    • Address other minor bug fixes.

    Writhing Fortress
    • Walks-In-Ash should no longer get stuck pathing with the Infernium in the Writhing Fortress.
    • Added Wayshrine and POI to Writhing Fortress when it is open. Travelling to a player inside now works.
    • Allies in the Writhing Fortress will be less chatty – reduced the frequency and range of their hint shouts.
    • Mirmal no longer reappears in the East Wing to shout about breaking the already destroyed crystal. Mirnal, we already know about the crystal!
    • Removed portals that lead back into the completed wing after the boss is defeated.

      • Enemies should now longer instantly respawn.
    • Hall of Vampires
      • Normal monsters will no longer trigger boss music. Gotta work your way up to boss level if you want boss music.
    • Public Dungeon: Calindvale Gardens
      • The Stone Gryphon now animates and resets correctly if you die and resurrect inside the boss arena.
      • The Stone Gryphon now correctly resets if you log out mid-fight.

    • Updated a large number of animations throughout multiple quests.

    Quests
    • The Deep Tombs of Xul-Haj
      • Relogging at certain spots in the instance will no longer block progress for the quest.
    • The Final Dark
      • Leaving the final fight by logging out or dying will no longer break the encounter.
      • Logging out at various parts of the quest will no longer lose NPC followers.
      • You will no longer see NPCs who you have not earned during the final assault.
      • If you leave and return to the instance, you will witness the proper effects during various scenes.
      • Certain monsters will no longer be at visually incorrect locations if entering fights later than other group members.
      • Monsters will no longer target grouped members behind closed doors.
      • You will no longer see unintended clones of monsters in certain areas.
      • Corrected a number of typos and other text fixes.
      • Corrected several issues with the quest assist leading you to the wrong location.
      • The final fight will now drop better loot.
      • Updated Andruth the Shadow-Wing's Backhand and Swipe abilities range.
    • Lost Among The Ashes
      • Fixed a number of door and map names throughout the Hall of Vampires.
    • Roots in Stone
      • Resolved an issue where some visual effects did not properly line up with intended statues.
      • Voice lines and animations should now be more in sync.
      • Fixed a number of animation issues.
    • Support the Fellowship
      • Prince Azah should no longer continuously play the same voice line. They guy needs to stop repeating himself.
      • Mirmal and Razum-dar's lines will now only play on players on the same level as them.
      • Cultist Orders book has been added post-quest to be discovered for lore library.
    • The Worm Turns
      • Talking to Prince Azah will now properly advance the quest if you had previously completed a specific quest from the base game.

    • Several apple baskets in Cyrodiil have been moved to prevent clipping into terrain.
    Vengeance Campaign
    • Weapons given in the Vengeance Bag no longer have a sell price.
    • Gamepad now properly saves Perk selections in Vengeance.
    • The Vengeance Aldmeri Scattershot Catapult can now be properly placed.
    • Derived Stats menu now updates when you change Perks.
    • You can no longer right-click and equip Perks when in an invalid zone.
    • "Apply Changes" is no longer an available option in Dye Stamp previews within Vengeance.
    • The error message for attempting to equip Perks outside of an Alliance Base has been updated on both keyboard and gamepad.
    • Perks can no longer be grabbed from the menu and dragged around outside of the Alliance Bases.
    • Perks can no longer be unequipped, via dragging or right-clicking, outside of the Alliance Bases.
    • The Perks menu now correctly displays a warning that you must be at Alliance Bases to update Perks.
    • Bolster Sturdiness Bonus health buff will no longer get stuck looking active when it's not.
    • Item icons no longer lose their opaque state when being dragged and used erroneously in Vengeance.

    Hearts Week
    General
    • Cleaned up some animation and timing oddities in all four quests.
    • The fourth quest now properly grants the Amulet of the Heart memento/tool.
    • Updated the Companion gifts to also throw a display alert when the Companion accepts your gift, to improve feedback on it even when you are at maximum rapport.
    • Pickpocketing during Hearts Week no longer has a chance to drop Event Tickets to deal with some loot confusion with the way pickpocketing drop tables work. The help entry has been updated to indicate pickpocketing does not have a chance to drop event tickets.
    • Adjusted the Hearts Week help entry to clarify that rewards specifically come from buried treasure chests.
    • The "Helping Hand" Hearts Week achievement now specifies you need to revive players or companions with a soul gem.
    A Toast to Malcontents
    • Improved interactions with Sanguine's "treats" across Belkarth so owned objects do not interfere with them.
    • Added a brief visual overlay if you choose to kiss the frog.
    Discord Among Friends
    • Adjusted journal text in this quest as it did not accurately convey the context of the scene.
    Heartsick Follies
    • Fixed some timing issues during the play so fading to black doesn’t interrupt lines as harshly.
    • Updated some quest pin locations on certain steps.
    • Ghadaz is now closer to Dreams-in-Scenes when they have their initial exchange in the tavern.
    • Fixed an issue where the Crown Store quest bestowal led to incorrect dialogue on Kuzam-jo.
    • You will now enter conversations with Kuzam-jo at the proper time.
    • Added a new book discussing the legend of Polydor and Eloisa and its connection to the play. This book is available only during Hearts Week. However it will also be added to the Impresario's Catalogue so it can be added to Eidetic Memory between appearances of this event. Copies of this book are present in the Crossroads Inn near the practicing actors, as well as in the stall behind Kuzam-jo.

    Antiquities
    • Adjusted dig sites in Khenarthi's Roost with terrain issues (slightly underground, clipping into rocks, etc.).
    • Western and Eastern Solstice Antiquities have been combined under "Solstice" in the Antiquities Codex, as dig sites can appear on either side of the zone for any of the Antiquities from Solstice.

    • Druidspring Conservatory home: the hedge charm collision should no longer change across all housing instances when toggled on or off.
    • Cradle of the Worm Colossus home: where the colossus cradle's collision should no longer change across all housing instances when toggled on or off.
    • Some of the incorrectly placed lanterns in the furnished and unfurnished versions of the Druidspring Conservatory home should now be in their proper place.
