Congrats to AD for Winning Gray Host Mayhem!

Well guys, we did it, great team work everyone! After taking all that the DC Nightcappers could throw at us, we have now won this campaign—again, good team work everyone. Official non-nightcapping results: AD 1st, EP 2nd, DC 3rd.

From the start, we had everything stacked against us! The lag affecting AD way more than the other factions, always outnumbered, and Wheeler keeping handhold sets in game to prevent us from destroying the huge blue and red blobs while solo.
Unfortunately for AD, our dominance lessened with too many of our AD brethen getting locked out of the campaign due to the crashes and the bandwagon DC/EP players bringing their bad habits over. And in return, DC got a lot of EP swapping over to stack in their multi-guild nightcap zergs.

Alas, DC needs a pity win at this point. No amount of guild stacking in NA primetime or Oceanic primetime can help them. DC can stack their guilds in the same spot and outnumber the other factions' guilds 5 to 1 and purposely lag the server out all they want, but quality is better than quanity, DC: This campaign proved it; that mighty stack of zerglings pvdooring with a locked pop during NA morning couldn't maintain 1st for DC, against 1 bars daily. What an utter, shameful display of incompetence to be seen from DC's failure to parlay their mediocrity into a campaign win.
The points were so close early on with AD always being outnumbered, but we dug in and leaned back from the precipice: all our hopes and dreams were teetering at that edge, doomed to fall because of the shaking ground from the DC/EP hordes marching towards us daily. They approached so close that Official Team Purple's fetid breath could be smelt lingering in the air, just wafting while the bellow of the Ballista King shook the walls with his mighty wailing. However, we held on strongly! When our fps was nothing and the other factions barely seemed to be affected, we held on strongly! Worse yet was how the blue cowards were night-capping each day and how WRX South Ga's children were abusing alts to run hammers to the nightcap zerg and bragging about it, but that was better than them afking on alts to clog queues. All of this just to make sure AD was hurt, but we held on strongly.

Finally, the DC/EP bandwagoners were dealt with, and AD was able to make a strong push with DC nightcappers not competing whatsoever. Of course, the EP and DC joined forces under the banner of the Ballista King to form an official purple alliance, almost never attacking each other and always coming after the AD. This didn't deter us. We kept fighting, always outnumbered. We held on strongly.

Blue and Red had almost all their zergs running fotm subclass builds for subclass players, et cetera; they had all the OP Cheat Engine bonuses (just to barely get an advantage over us). Still, we held on strongly.

Then the darkest of days came, educing memories of antediluvian evils unbeknownst to most of this generation. DC resorted to using unprecedented zergs and lag switches to lag the server for everyone except themselves, constantly taking keeps by forcing the server to lag ... GG Blizzard. Those 90 man raids to take Dragonclaw were the crux of their map control strat, due to Dragon being worth 100 points. It was during these bleak times that the lag switchers took 1st, but AD persevered and overcame their night-capping and lag-switching. AD regained 1st triumphantly and meted out justice to the Official Team Purple upstarts, who returned to Dragon more often than they did to their mother's house to ask for money. No, you shall not have any sort of morale boost or easy currency, heathens!

Luckily for AD, the strength of the Oceanic AD team, consisting of 1 bar of unorganized pugs and no guilds, repeatedly stymied Official Team Purple's efforts to bleed points during Oceanic primetime with their stacks of DC Oceanic guilds. During the day, AD reclaimed all that blue had stolen with their lag tactics, and they wore down the blue tricksters, the counterfeit greek yogurt manufacturers, the false AP gainers, and the PED crew. Oceanic AD were a brutal unicorn dismantling the aspirations of the tricksters and helped AD reclaim the lead for the glorious peoples of the eagle. Praise Lord Ay Dee! May he forever bless AD with a bloodline not prone to nightcapping. It's generational, genetic, and every DC is a nightcapping zergling regardless of what they do. They can't help it; it's in their blood.

So even with more eyes on AD's 1st place spot than Tupac ever had on him, we still did it guys: we won the last competitive Grey Host campaign. Yellow has reigned supreme, the best alliance of all, even with the others always outnumbering us, officially working together, crashing the server, and using all sorts of tricks. In the end...

AD WINS!!!!!!

Edit: Checked again, yep, AD won. GG Blizzard. Smell you later, DC nightcappers. Enjoy 3rd, maybe ZoS will make a 5 piece set that gives extra campaign points when DC is locked pop nightcapping against 1 bars. Can't compete until others sleep smh

On a serious note: huge grats to EP for being the non-nightcap champions for this campaign. Impressive final week from you guys. And hopefully we stop killing the map for 50% of the day with our nightcapping, but I doubt we will, #AD things.

This campaign was the closest in memory. There were 3 factions head to head almost through the campaign with each one leading at one point. Ad had to fight with fire in their hearts to conquer the title of the best faction. Good fights all factions. EP were building a wall of defence almost literally with the tankiest players. And they deserved the 2nd spot. Dc took out rabbit out of hat when their dispairing efforts were beaten time after time. The most broken sets and multiple ball groups did fail in the end and they became the loser this time. Their night capping fell short because a small numer of players bravely were defending the night time.

Telel would like to congratulate those EP who managed to pull out some big point gains near the end there.

A lot of us on AD know there're a lot of 'streamers' who've gone red but never really help their own team. Instead choosing to tower farm low levels in order to create misleading footage that gets them clicks.

But khajiit knows there're good sports amongst y'all still and it was good to see them putting in the work so they didn't get stick in third place.

Telel would also like to thank all the true noble souls who helped deal with certain stalkers and trolls this campaign. Such displays of good sportsmanship really help keep us from becoming to cynical and dismissive about those on the other side of both our teams and keyboards.

This is what I love about the GH campaign and playing for the score. This is trash talking at its finest. Congrats to AD. We [EP] tried but when we realized we couldn’t catch AD near the end, we focused on trying to get second. Because NOBODY wants to come in LAST PLACE. :D

This so funny that the original comes from about 10 years ago. A virtous text together with the video. So good one that even today not only AD but recently DC has used the same one. Of course, it was made with humour but that campaign was definitely a hard one that AD celebrated fully. The time when pvp was big. I like to think AD won forum pvp that day.

It wasn't hard won and it wasn't a full campaign. It was when the campaigns were transitioning from 90 days to 30 days, EP won the only competitive 90 day left, Wabbajack 1, and all the various guilds agreed we wanted to just farm AP in Wabba 2. Alacrity posted that original thread to bait people who were delusional and cared about the score. And it worked, and judging by what I saw in AD zone this campaign, it's still working lol.

We lost Wabba 1 even with us trying to nightcap every night locked pop to 1 bar DC/EP(with DC having a lower population than EP during this period of day). Our Oceanic guilds were getting farmed hard enough on scroll temples that DiE swapped over to EP after campaign to play with people who were semi-consistently farming them and then splitting off with those wanting to stay EP picking up IR members to form Havoc and those wanting to go elsewhere hooking up with mostly non-core members of NM, mostly NM Barracks players, forming K-Hole(DiE+NM Barracks basically). How do players who played since launch not know the history of the game?

Rip the good days, when people didn't know campaign rewards were garbage. Speaking of which, my rewards for this nightcapped cycle win were garbage.

My point was about the original thread, not VE making a variation of it 5 years after the original, and even VE would tell you that no one was "melting" in that thread; well, except maybe PrinceFabious but that was just Dubzug or Arindar or whatever his nightblade's name was when he was in West Coast Fresh Coast with Krotha. But that's just his personality on everything.

And it was a response to you having a false memory of the original thread. Also, notice how it's only AD mains in here, except the guy pretending to be EP. Even VE did the meme thread better than current AD, and I hate to admit that.

Khajiit remembers one campaign that came down to the last two hours. With all three teams staying within a few hundred points of each other.

The best part is that it ended on either Christmas eve or day.

Sadly that was about four years ago. Nothing's ever been quite as competitive since.

Though the manic depressive nature of this campaign was interesting. Several guilds were coordinating group times to keep people in the field. Especially during the four to seven hours a day where it'd be 1 bar of ad doing their best to keep some points on the board despite certain shenanigans. All so the later groups could turn things back around once they got off of work.

Some of which is up on Telel's poorly done youtube channel.

There was one campaign which had a difference of 2 points I think DC won it with EP (the faction I was on at the time) coming 2nd, We couldn't simultaneously capture and hold enough resources with our 14m as another guild which has been referenced here could with their 24+ so EP lost by 1 home resource on the final points eval.

And it was a response to you having a false memory of the original thread. Also, notice how it's only AD mains in here, except the guy pretending to be EP. Even VE did the meme thread better than current AD, and I hate to admit that.

To be fair, that thread was done 2016 and ended by closure 2020. So 2 yearsafter the original one. And I think that the current threads are kinda unreminiscent of an era when forums were another battlefield. Your thread about DC lasted few days and got some answers. There is a reason why the current threads are more constructive feedback rather than rage baiting
ones. Maybe those are the past and the forums are built by a community that can agree on constructive feedback more than going forward and backward who is right. Ad did this, DC did this and EP did this is entertaining but the ESO community is not anymore like that. Or should I point mostly there are still those who act as agitators for some weird reason.

And my memory of the campaigns is the last played and even then I forget that soon. The good old memories are there but there is no need to keep a file about ESO. This is just a game. To not derail this post congratz AD one more time!
