[2025] Which Skill Line should receive a new Grimoire next?

Scribing has just been given away to everyone and it's been a year since it was first introduced. In that time, we've seen the original 11 Grimoires receive more Script support (enabling new combinations of Scripts to be Scribed to those Grimoires), and we've even seen a brand new Grimoire introduced a little later on for the Support skill line.

Which skill line would you prioritize to receive a new Grimoire next?

    i am most interested in Class skill line Grimoires.

    Such as combat pet grimoires for Daedric Summoning and Animal Companions.

    I'd love all skill lines to get Grimoires though, except Emperor as that skill line is only available whilst you are Emperor/Empress and in Cyrodiil (as far as i know).

    I'd like Class Grimoires best myself.

    In retrospect, however, I should've voted for Werewolf. I don't play as one myself, but it would be fair if Werewolves would finally be able to use a Scribing skill.

    Maybe not "Next" but "eventually" lol I would like to see this happen. Class Grimoires would be cool too, as would an Undaunted one that gives the line an ultimate we can customize, as it doesn't have one but would be great if it did. Maybe once we unlock Eastern Solstice the guild manages to reverse engineer some of the Worm Cult spells into grimoires.

    I honestly would just like to see more added in general. So maybe I should've picked other lol.

    I hope they release a scribed skill for every class line at the same time, not just a class here and there.

    Given the evidence for how the Support grimoire was planned alongside the others but delayed in its release, I don’t know that I’d call it “brand new” or grounds to think that another grimoire is forthcoming.

    That said, if they do add new grimoires, I would hope for something lots of players could use, which would rule out the DLC lines (Psijic, TG, DB, Antiquities) and especially Emperor (as mentioned above — this is something only a handful of players could use and thus not a wise use of development resources imo for a game with probably hundreds of thousands of active players).

    If they do an armor line, they’d have to do all 3. And they already have one active skill each. Another wouldn’t hurt, but is it a priority?

    If they did a racial grimoire, they’d have to do all 10, since if it didn’t take specific race into account, I don’t think it’d belong in the racial line.

    If they did a class line grimoire, they’d have to do all 21, since there’s no guarantee anyone has a specific class line anymore and no place to put a base class grimoire (unless they added its own line separate from the 3 class lines). They already made the Templar class mastery a 2/3 class mastery and 1/3 Sacred Ground mastery. I wouldn’t want to see that issue repeated if they did only select class lines for grimoires, which would leave a good number of characters without any class grimoire.

    If they do werewolf, they should probably also do vampire — I’m aware that vampires can run grimoires while werewolves can’t, but vampires don’t have an actual vampire grimoire. Rather than exacerbate the imbalance by giving only ww a grimoire and leaving vampires to run non-vampire ones, I’d rather see them both get something.

    Passive lines seem passive for a reason, so I’d probably say Undaunted and WW+Vampire — unless they do want to take on the 21 class line grimoires or 7 base class ones.

    We don't need anymore. I'd like to see no more added for at least a year. Most people have a lot of catching up to do. At this point ZOS should have published an online manual of their in game systems so newer and even older players can figure out how to take advantage of things like scribing and subclassing.

    With the current chaotic mess created by subclassing and the frantic nerfs/adjustments to class skill lines to fix it, I seriously doubt there will be any class skill grimoires coming any time soon.

    I would like to see some scribed synergies though. So I voted Undaunted.

    Why not all of them?

    We need more scribing abilities AND scripts, including unique scripts that drop in different phases of the game - dungeons, trials, arenas, etc. Give us some great stuff to actually chase and that will actually make a difference in our gameplay.

    Definitely werewolf should be a good goal.

    I think Undaunted would be the obvious choice since it’s the only Guild line with active skills that doesn’t have one, but Werewolf would be a lot more unique.

    The big thing playing werewolf is that there are literally 5 skills, so every werewolf is running some morph of those exact skills. There isn’t much build diversity there. But even adding one Scribed skill there would make it so players actually need to make choices and that could be a lot more fun.

    Plus, it’d be nice to give werewolves more options. Currently you can’t really make a werewolf healer, so our all-werewolf-trials usually need one person to stay human so they can cast heals.

    I know full well they'd never implement it, but I'd like to see a "mimic" type that could mimic a five piece set or even a mythic. Passive preferably if I'm gonna ride the "wish for" train. Power creep would be an issue, but then again subclass muddied the waters in that regard so who knows?

    Though I sympathise with you, but unfortunately I presume more folk have Undaunted maxed out rather than Werewolf and Vampire. But I am willing to stand corrected on that. My personal opinion is that Undaunted then Psijic Order is the most possible order. Saying that, if ZOS hasn't abandoned Scribing, as anything is possible at the moment. BTW I do use Scribing on all of my builds in one form or another.

    I was between more weapon grimiores and class skills. Going with Class skills because they don't have any, and it'd be a great enhancement with subclassing.

    Well, it's my first time being in the 1%, colour me surprised.

    I really want a better destruction staff skill mostly; the channel is prohibitive to me engaging it. I really really want this to manifest as something similar to Skyrim's flame/frost spells that cast from you hand, a substitute for the 1 hand and rune people have been asking for.

    I'd also like more mages guild skills, I like magic, what can I say.

    Personal priority: If thinking on characters with class and actually subclassing on top - finish this first, so ww and vamp are the last characteristic from the characters who`s left.

    With the background to finishing this list maybe this year, togehter with armor, psijic, undaunted there are seven new Grimoire left in total. Good amount for last part of the year. By "finishing" one Grimoire for every Line in 2025, after it is in the basegame right now, maybe new and old players expect that scribing would be continued. Not that it gets pushed into 2026/27, then it is forgotten and the hole scribing will only be half done, still work in progress and never heard something again from it in next couple of months.
