Not looking forward to that increasing toxicity & ego maniacs who think the only thing that matters is dps.

Can you still opt out of sharing your data? Because otherwise is a privacy violation.

There is no privacy violation if you hit "Agree" to the TOS, which is what you have to do before you can even play.
I agree, the dps tracker is not something that should be allowed, personal dps tracker is fine, but the toxicity in the game is already bad enough. Thankfully, we have the auto chat banning thingy (AI or not) so that could filter out the toxicity if these types feel the need to express their feelings about other player's deeps.

Actually it's not a violation of your privacy since the base game provides for that information to begin with. If you whisper someone in game, the AI chatbot reads that, so there is no "privacy" in the game.

Right, that's what I said in the very first sentence...

ToS for ESO is not the same as for an add on not supported by Zos.

I don’t particularly my game play being put on Youtube just because I’m in a group with someone, but I have to accept that apparently.

But why do I have to allow an add on I haven’t chosen to use to have access to my game?

    You don't.

So how do I get notification to opt out if someone else is using it?

Doesn't matter if someone else is using it. Them using the addon doesn't affect you in any way.

Why do you think raid leads ask for potential prog members to send them their combat data? Because they can't pull it themselves.

I’m still figuring out how to use these addons, it looks like HarvestMap is putting things in the right places but it’s just glitchy squares at this point. The one for treasure maps and surveys doesn’t seem to do anything.

I do have a general question. Most if not all of these addons add to the UI, is it possible to use an addon to remove some UI elements?

The Minimap addon has an option to hide the compass, so I would guess it is possible, at least in part.

For HarvestMap, the glitchy squares might be the markings in the 3D space. I have that disabled and just use the map or compass. HarvestMap has a number of settings you can tweak.

I think there is more than one treasure map / survey add on, but the one I installed, adds an action to show on map. So, navigate to a map/survey in your inventory, choose action and see if there is an option to show on map.

Go to the Treasure Map or Survey in your inventory, use the Actions option (triangle on PS) to select "Show Map". Then watch the magic happen.

This is the best time for it too, with the 75% reduction in fast travel.

Yes it is. On PC I use an addon called Azurah to move, resize and hide parts of the base game UI, and as someone said the minimap addon has the option to hide the compass.

I'm not sure what the limitations are, if there's things which can't be hidden or if it's different in the console UI but it's definitely an option.

I much prefer Murf's Treasures since it instantly pulls up the map and centers it on the objective. Map of Many Riches doesn't pull up a map for you, you have to navigate to the map yourself, then you have to scan the map until you spot the marker, then scan for wayshrines. And the map marker used isn't highlyl visible against the backdrop either.

Murfs is instant. Select the map/survey/clue, select show map, click on the nearest wayshrine, and done.

Yeah I've used Murf's as well. I just like the cleaner icons used in Map of Many Riches and the fact everything is already on the map.

Ha, I used to think I was pretty smart but now that I’m older I seem to have the attention span of a two year old. I thought I had only turned on the harvest map for my main character, but it had these squares for everyone. As I was disabling it on all my alts I noticed that they had options for that sort of thing. I’ll have to try it again. I did notice that some characters had the squares on their compass but some did not. Looking at a zone map was pretty much a mess. I’ll just leave of off until it gets whatever library it needs.

I’ll have to try that for the treasure maps. If I had bothered to read the instructions it probably would have told me that.

I'm on console so do not have combat metrics. I believe what you say, but if it's not reading anybody else's performance then how do people know they're doing X % of dps in a dungeon or trial? I've seen this in many posts here and I know that many people on console are worried an addon like this will come to console and lead to toxicity (I'm not one of those people, just mentioning it)

Cuz you can see the enemy's total HP's. All you need is total HP, your total damage, a little bit of simple math, and it's easy to calculate how much (what percentage) of the damage you did yourself.

For example.. (using simple easy numbers)
    • Boss has 100k health.
    • You dealt 35k damage to boss when it dies.
    • You did 35% of the damage.
    .

I think that would be possible. Azurah lets you move and resize them (I have them in much smaller text just above the chat box so I can still see them but they're not in the way) and there might also be addons to hide them completely. I have no idea if the authors have any plans to add that one to console or if anyone is making a similar one though.

The one which always bothered me is achievement notifications. I don't need a huge pop-up to tell me I've done the thing I just did, because I was there when I did it, and too often it would be in my way when I'm trying to see the resolution for a quest or something.

I wondered about that. I have still been doing them manually because I figured I would spend more time with inventory management while using it since there are a lot of things from the reward boxes to be directed to different characters and such. My question is why libraries are listed as installable addons? Those should be hidden from view and updated/installed automatically as needed. It's not like we can do anything with them on the console.

Also, does anyone have the issue where the "y" axis slider for the mini map cannot move the the right, but only to the left? I've tried uninstalling everything, log out, close app, and install it from fresh, and it still happens.

Have been using https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Survey_Reports for years and it was such a grind. This is really easy now.

I just wish Murf's Treasures had another icon on map, something with more visibility.
On PC I always have been using a red cross with the Lost Treasure add-on , which pops out in the middle of everything else (resources, books, chests, etc).
The coffer icon isn't ideal when your map has a lot of stuff on display - and since Harvest Map doesn't have a visibility range limition, every resource node is display on map.

Here's how the treasure chests and survey reports are displayed on Lost Treasure

I use Map of Many Riches. I tried Murf's and did not like it.

I prefer the red X that I have on the PC addon Lost Treasure (images above), but that is not available on console. If it is ever ported, I would switch to that.
