Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS v11.0.1! This week, we welcome Zeal of Zenithar back to the PTS rotation. Check out the new rewards and list any feedback you have for this event. Additionally, we have several fixes and adjustments for Seasons of the Worm Cult, Part 1 content, including fixes for various quest lines, Solstice Overland and the trial, Ossein Cage. There are also content fixes for Fallen Banners, Gold Road, and Base Game. We have also made a few combat changes based on feedback from week one. However, we are still reviewing your feedback and will have more adjustments during this PTS cycle.

Housing folks, please take special note of the known issues this week. We have outlined known housing and furnishings impacted by the solid black texture issue. We are working on resolving this.

    Event: Zeal of Zenithar
    The Zeal is real! Zeal of Zenithar returns with new seasonal rewards, but no other major structural changes at this time (review the in-game help entry for all details). The new rewards include:
    • Zenithar Battlesmith armor set, with pages available from the Impresario for 5 tickets each or from Zenithar’s Sublime Parcel reward boxes.
      • Last year’s Gold Road Dragoon style goes into the “old rewards” pool available in the purple boxes available through other expected sources.
    • The third and final fragment, “Torc of Wisdom,” for the Robes of Truth and Law costume, is available from the Impresario for 10 tickets.

    • Perfected Harmony in Chaos container for template characters will now grant the Jerkin in Divines rather than Reinforced.
    • The Collectible Furnishing, "Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control" is now represented in the "All Previous Collectible Furnishing Crate."

    Art & Animation
    • Attack Animations
      • A few audio and visual effects may be missing or mistimed.
      • Some abilities contain extraneous movement, particularly in the extremities (hands, tails, weapons, feet, etc.) which look like twitching or shaking.
      • Two-handed and Bow: Ability animations ending can sometimes pull the off-hand away from the weapon briefly and snap back.
      • Casting while running diagonally: Character can be pointing up to 45 degrees away from the target. This is most obvious with beam attacks. This is a more exaggerated version of an issue that's always been a problem. The final fix should keep you facing your target.
    Housing
    Housing has had several of its offerings affected by an ongoing issue where textures are displayed as solid black. The team is working very hard to fix this issue, but until it is resolved, you may see issues with the following assets:
    • Furnishings
      • Items Identified during PTS 1:
        • Music Box, Blessings of Stone
        • Sunport Planter, Stone
        • Doorway, Daedric Vertebrae
        • Tide-Born Pool, Ceremonial

    • Houses
      • Most of the interior of The Sleepy Sloth is affected by the bug, except for the wall and door that leads back outside.
      • The Bismuth Steam Baths home has two instances of “Sunport Planter, Stone” in its Furnished version.
    Quests
    • Solstice – Ghosthunters
      • The end boss for this quest is not currently spawning, preventing the quest from being completed. This is fixed in the next upcoming patch.

      • Assassination
        • Grim Focus: Reduced this ability and the Merciless Resolve’s Weapon and Spell Damage per stack to 30, down from 45.
          • Relentless Focus: Reduced this morph’s Weapon and Spell Damage per stack to 40, down from 60.
    • Sorcerer
      • Daedric Summoning
        • Daedric Protection: Fixed an issue where this passive would not activate when using Bound Armor or its morphs.
        • Expert Summoner: This passive’s increase to your Max Magicka and Stamina no longer require a permanent pet to be active to gain their benefits, but Max Health does still require this condition to be met.
          [Developer Comment]
          Based on a lot of the initial feedback we’ve seen, there were some very good cases about how walking this passive back to a pet-build hurt those who don't want to subclass. While we are still going to keep Daedric Summoning focused on what the name implies, we do realize we can still account for the fact not every ability in this skill line is about summoning. In this case, the passive will be slightly less dense than something like Magicka Flood while offering a potential advantage if you lean further into the skill line. This exact solution isn't something we can apply everywhere (largely because this split can lead to a significant amount of performance drain), but it is something that works in this case where we are gaining something both for players and the servers.
    • Warden
      • Winter’s Embrace
        • Arctic Wind
          • Polar Wind: Increased the self-healing over time of this ability by 11.1%. Reduced the healing of the ally targeted portion of this ability by ~33.3%. The ally targeted heal no longer applies a heal over time.
            [Developer Comment]
            With subclassing here, we're toning down the raw power of this burst heal so it doesn't stand above others for group play. The self-heal portion of this ability will be increased to make it more suitable for tanks, while the ally healing will be reduced to ensure it doesn't surpass other ally-targeted burst heals in all situations.

      • The Shackled Titans’ Coldfire Furnace ability no longer has a chance to fire projectiles across the zone.
      • Simulacrums created by Tormented Incinerators no longer have a chance to persist after the Tormented Incinerator is defeated.
      • Use prompts for synergies granted within the trial will no longer flicker.
      • Osteon Elementalists will now use their Flame Aura ability sooner.
      • The Group Patience achievement will now only be awarded when the group is affected by three Carrion Shields in a single Carrion Portal, as intended.
    • Blood Drinker Thisa
      • Now includes text updates for abilities and tooltips.
      • Increase to Thisa’s health.
      • Increased the chance for Thisa to use her flight ability.
    • Jynorah and Skorkhif
      • Now includes icons and text updates for abilities and tooltips.
      • Increased healing reduction applied by Sparking and Blazing Curses. This applies only to regular veteran mode, rather than all difficulties.
      • Sparking and Blazing Curse will be cast less quickly after Titanic Leap occurs.
      • Utilizing damage shield abilities will no longer result in extra damage when cursed by Sparking and Blazing Curses.
      • Updated how the winner of Titanic Clash is selected during the encounter.
      • Damage of Titanic Clash is increased against the loser of the Clash in Veteran difficulty.
      • Caustic Carrion will now increase in damage more rapidly with Hard Mode active.
      • Flame Atronachs located on platforms with Titans will now utilize all of their abilities during Titanic Clash.
      • Increased the radius of the Carrion Shield synergy.

      • The Flame-Bound Vokorna’s devistation ability has been retimed to match its visuals.

      • The Stone Guardians will no longer lose aggro to stealth abilities.

    • The Everlasting Fair
      • Several doors can no longer be interacted with from the wrong side.
      • Group members will now properly teleport with you during certain sequences of the quest.
      • Aderus Juven will no longer stand-up mid-conversation if clicked on too quickly.
      • Adjusted timing for multiple voice-over lines.
      • Fixed several visual issues while using the Rod of Revels.
    • Ghosthunters
      • Directing Valendir to the different valves will now group share upon completion.
      • Fixed an issue with a conversation scene that could break the quest theater playing out correctly.
    • The Gift of Death
      • Several NPCs should no longer walk out of the camera mid-conversation.
      • NPCs will now change into their correct outfits at the correct time.
      • You can now interact with the book, “The Bell and the Hymn,” after the quest is completed.
      • Leaving a specific quest area prematurely and then returning will no longer reset the NPCs into bad locations.
    • The Passages Beneath
      • You can no longer interact with certain quest items before the quest requires you to.
      • Groupmate icons for Tarnur Mine will no longer appear below the ground.
      • Several visuals have been updated during the “Barge” scene in the caves.
      • Multiple animation fixes.
    • The Regent of Sunport
      • The Quest Tracker will no longer tell you to talk to Razum-Dar 3 times in the same step.
      • Specific quest clues will no longer be displayed earlier than intended.
      • You can now interact with specific clues during one of the quest steps.
      • Razum-Dar will now use specific voice-over lines upon first meeting him.
    • The Stirk Fellowship
      • Updated collision on several quest specific items.
      • Fixed several issues with Prince Azah’s dialogue.

      • The quest will now advance upon entering the dream state.
      • Certain voice-overs will now properly trigger.

      • The Master of Cups will no longer be playing air harp on an invisible instrument.
    • The Writhing Wall
      • Gabrielle will no longer grapple away when trying to hold certain connections away at Li-Xal pass.
      • Fixed issues with voice-over timing.
      • The map pin now show you in the correct location on the Solstice map.
      • You no longer prematurely cause a quest scene to play when not in the correct area.
      • Sped up quest advancement while moving through Li-Xal.

    • Updated the "View More Info" keybind in Gamepad UI to be consistent between the inventory and character screens.
    Hero’s Return Experience / Golden Pursuits
    • Updated various rewards icons in the Hero's Return experience to the correct style.
    • The Golden Pursuits capstone reward claimed dialog now appears correctly in the gamepad UI.
    • Subsequent Hero's Return campaigns no longer fail to unlock after claiming the previous campaign's capstone reward.
    • In Golden Pursuits, in gamepad mode, the "View In Collections" button will no longer extend beyond the edge of the capstone reward dialog.
    • In Golden Pursuits, closing the capstone reward dialog will no longer sometimes cause a UI error.
    • Updated the Gamepad UI Hero's Return menu icon.
    • In Group/Activity Finder, the Golden Pursuits category will no longer have a callout icon due to having an unclaimed reward in a campaign you haven't unlocked yet.
    • The returning player UI screen can no longer be inadvertently exited.
    • Hero's Return tasks should now be completed by actions specific to the intended requirements.
    • In Golden Pursuits, the capstone claimed dialog no longer incorrectly says all claimable rewards have been claimed.
    • Closing one of the Hero's Return dialogues now displays the correct dialogue.
    • the Hero's Return dialogue now correctly displays, rather than the normal announcement dialogue.
    • Attempting to claim a returning player daily login reward without a claimable reward selected no longer causes a UI issue.
    • The first enemy in the Hero's Return adventure can no longer be knocked down multiple times in rapid succession while off-balance.
    • During the Hero's Return adventure, active combat tips no longer clear prematurely or not display at all.
    • The three types of guild citation rewards in Hero's Return Golden Pursuits are now account bound, as originally intended. This only applies to the versions you get in Hero's Return, and not any pre-existing sources.
    • Hero's Return Golden Pursuits rewards will now properly scale to your level.
    UI Refresh
    • Updated various icons to match the new modern UI style.
