Where's the announcement on the forum? Launcher gives out, but the forum post is not.

Might get an answer on Monday. Today is one of the highest of holy days in the USA, where Zenimax is located.

What exactly is the relevance between a religious country holiday and the inconsistency of announcing maintenance? This is pretty much a 12 hour warning rather than a few days.

People take off/get off work because it's a holiday. I think that would be obvious... Some things just don't get done when no one is there to do them.

God forbid, the individual(s) who are in charge of placing maintenance announcements took Sunday off because it's a United States non-federal holiday. I mean, it'd be cool if they announced it yesterday, when nothing was going on

Yeah, okay, they forgot.
But hey, there's maintenance every Monday, guys, stop complaining about nothing.

I know that's why you're complaining
But dude, this game has had maintenance every Monday for years.
The absence of a warning banner on the forum, for once, doesn't mean that this time it's different. When it is, they put up a banner saying "maintenance will be on Tuesday," for example, but now you're complaining for nothing.

I'll just assume its tonight the 21st at 4am EDT

There's in-game announcement, too.
But actually, the big reason this is a problem is: how LONG is the maint? Can be 2 hours, can be 12, no one knows.
